Dear Mayor Becker,

I am a permanently drinking-alcohol-free and lifelong-tobacco-free and anti-marijuana-minded single adult gentleman of English, Scottish, and German ancestry. I am gainfully employed, and I lead a dependably civil and law-abiding and honest and vigilant lifestyle.

I am tentatively planning to possibly move to Salt Lake City, Utah, later this year or next year.

The following are some questions I wanted to pose to you before I decide for sure whether I will be moving to Salt Lake City, Utah:

(1) What percentage of all residents of Salt Lake City are complete and permanent abstainers from ANY consumption of drinking alcohol or alcoholic beer?

(2) What percentage of all your city's residents completely and permanently abstain from any consumption of any tobacco product?

(3) What percentage of all of your city's residents do not have any felony-conviction criminal record?

(4) What percentage of all your city's residents do NOT have any tattoo or body piercing displayed or emblazoned on their own body?

(5) What percentage of all of your city's residents over age 30 NEVER consumed any quantity of marijuana or any other illicit drug, for that matter, at any time after they reached age 30?

(6) Mayor Becker, do you believe that the level of respect for my own privacy rights and personal safety and my own Freedom of Religion by your city government and by the people of Salt Lake City would be significantly greater than the level of respect for my privacy rights and personal safety and Freedom of Religion that the City Government of Austin in Austin, Texas, and the people of Austin have possibly exhibited (or have possibly or allegedly NOT, in fact, exhibited)?

Best Wishes from the son of Murray, Utah, native Dr. Calvin McMillan, who later became a professional botany researcher and professor of Botany at a university in Texas.

I am also the nephew of Roy McMillan, himself a very successful businessman in Salt Lake City in the 20th Century. Uncle Roy owned a paper-products company.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

John Kevin McMillan.
