The Bubonic Plague is deeply embedded in the psyche of Americans of European ancestry. And even those who aren't of European ancestry will often refer to the Bubonic Plague in shorthand form, such as when they comment that "I avoid him like the Plague!"
Despite all of this, I cannot recall having watched a well-written and authoritative documentary movie or documentary television show that presents a historical account about the Bubonic Plague in Europe and other continents.
I'm reminded that I want my pragmatically idealistic Progressive Prohibitionist Religion to help promote the establishment of a new cable television channel that exclusively presents documentary films and documentary television specials that have been produced over a multi-decade period in a variety of nations.
It would be a new and very educational television channel that promotes critical thinking skills, thinking analytically about the world around you, and a healthy skepticism toward sources of information that are not, in fact, fully accurate or reliable.
