Subject: re: my Aug 1, 2016, complaint vs ACC

August 1, 2016

Dear Texas Assistant Attorney General Smith in the Office of the Attorney General of Texas Open Records Division in Austin,

Please note, below, additional documentation on behalf of the legal complaint I filed with you today in my capacity as a public-information requestor.

My complaint is against the Austin Community College's public information office in Austin, Texas. My complaint relates to ACC's response to a civilly-worded July 18, 2016-dated E-mail public information request from myself that I provided you earlier today as part of this complaint from myself.

The following (bottom item, below) is an e-mailed attachment sent to me by Austin Community College on July 20, 2016, that provides me with an estimated cost of $846.20 on providing me with all written documents referring to myself (John Kevin McMillan of Austin) in any way, and that were each written by either President Rhodes or Ms. Pam Sutton of ACC's Office of the President, at any time since the morning of Sept. 1, 2011.

I hope this additional documentation is helpful on behalf of my civilly worded legal complaint today through your state agency against Austin Community College in Austin, Texas.

Sincerely and Best Wishes,

complainant John Kevin McMillan.
10926 Jollyville Rd, Apt. 902, Austin, Texas, 78759.
Home phone: (512) 342-2295.

Ms. Smith, I am also providing you, immediately below this follow-up note to yourself, with a copy of a July 21, 2016, E-mail reply letter to me from ACC Public Information Coordinator Dahlia Anzaldua-Torres that very clearly states that the previously cited $846.20 estimated charge to me she had informed me about in writing is for documents about me that were written by either of two total ACC employees or officials: ACC President Rhodes or his assistant Ms. Pam Sutton, for the specified time period ever since the morning of September 1, 2011 (Rhodes's very first day as ACC President).

Also included, below, is the July 20-dated cover e-mail letter to me from Ms. Anzaldua-Torres in which she initially responds in writing to my July 18, 2016, e-mail public-information request by sending me an accompanying attachment (bottom item, below) that cites $846.20 as the estimated fee I'd be charged on that.

Mr. McMillan,

Attached is an adjusted estimate reflecting a search for documents that you've requesting for only for Dr. Richard Rhodes rrhodes@austincc.edu. The previous estimate was for both Rhodes and Pam Sutton. Ms. Sutton is the staff member in the President's Office who may review, copied to, reply to any communications for Dr. Rhodes.

This estimate can be paid for online at ACC Marketplace[secure.touchnet.com]. Reference ORR 1548 were applicable

Subject: ORR 1548 - Cost Estimate

Mr. McMillan,

I am attaching a copy of a cost estimate referencing labor involved in gathering the communications that you've requested. It may be possible to decrease the estimate as it looks like the bulk of the time is related to how far back you want the search to go. Let me know if you would like to make any adjustments to your request.

Payment can be made online at ACC Marketplace[secure.touchnet.com]. Be sure to reference ORR 1548. As soon as payment is made, I can have IT start the search for you.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Unless I hear from you, we will consider this request closed in 10 business days.
