Urgent Crime Prevention Questions I Posed in Writing to Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes on July 16, 2023

As of today, October 31, 2023, I continue to patiently wait for a reply letter to me from Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes on these two questions I posed to him about  this very important public-safety issue of CRIME PREVENTION here in Utah.

Subject: 7-16-23 Crime Prevention Questions for Utah Attorney General Reyes

July 16. 2023

Dear Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes,

Today during online crime-prevention research I pursued during my leisuretime, I found the following exactly quoted information about the "Utah Council for Crime Prevention":

"The principal office of the organization for transaction of business will be located in the city of residence of the Office that holds the DBA, currently the Utah Council for Crime Prevention located at 462 Bearcat Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84115.

Phone:  801-486-8691

Fax:  801-486-8815

Email:  info@utahcrimeprevention.org"

I learned later today through online research that the above-cited organization "voluntarily expired" as of March 17, 2017, as this online link from the State Government of Utah points out:

https://secure.utah.gov/bes/displayDetails.html

The apparent most recent address for the registered agent for that organization---the address cited online by the Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code-- was:

"1351 E MILLBROOK WY PO BOX 865

Bountiful, UT 84010"

I also noticed today that online records of communications involving the "Utah Crime Prevention Association" do not apparently feature any communications specifically referring to Utah at any time since 2009, according to what this online link indicates:

http://www.neighborhoodlink.com/Utah_Crime_Prevention/topics

Attorney General Reyes, I would like to ask you if your State of Utah agency has any current communications with any Utah-based organization that specifically contains the term "crime prevention" in its official name?

Also, do you believe that the State Government of Utah should do a lot more than at present to help coordinate crime-prevention strategies on a statewide basis here in the "Beehive State"?

Finally, do you believe that local and state law-enforcement agencies here in Utah should be more successful at inviting reports about suspicious incidents or possible crime evidence in Utah, along with "crime tips" from Utah residents and visitors to Utah about continuous crime cases and other crime cases that are currently occurring or currently being investigated in this state?

In view of the growing percentage of Utah residents who have moved here from another U.S. state or foreign nation---with many of those persons having felony criminal-conviction records or criminal-conviction records for misdemeanor crimes involving violence---Utah has an urgent need for an active and well-funded statewide Utah Crime Prevention strategy.

As you may be aware, Attorney General Reyes, the "California Crime Prevention Officers' Association" (CCPOA) highlights an admirable and life-saving statewide emphasis on crime prevention in that far western U.S. state. The online link that organization is:

https://ccpoa.us/

Finally, Attorney General Reyes, I hope you will agree with me on the urgent need for Utah Crime-Prevention Symposiums inviting comments from the general public that could be held in a variety of cities and towns of Utah.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to review this letter from me. I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely and Best Wishes,

John Kevin McMillan, a former Texas DPS full-time clerical employee, current restaurant-industry employee, and permanent resident of Utah ever since January 1, 2023 (correction by me on the year after I sent this without seeing the previous  typographical error here).

My solo-occupancy rental-home address ever since June 1, 2022:
