Subject: More Diversity Needed in Local Eateries' Music Systems
October 12, 2023
Dear Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall,
I would like to belatedly thank a staff member of yours who referred me on the phone earlier this year to a gentleman staff member of yours in regard to what I maintain to be a very alarming anti-White cultural bias and anti-White discrimination in our city.
I am referring to very annoying and headache-inducing repetitiveness in the lyrics and rhythm and level of vocalization of currently Black-dominated background music systems of many of the local restaurants of Salt Lake City.
These are local restaurants, I might add with emphasis, that profess to serve and accommodate American citizen customers or guests of any and all racial or ethnic groups.
I maintain that it is very harmful to the medical health and emotional health of law-abiding clean-talking non-profane honorable white non-Hispanic adult residents here such as myself when we as individuals are subjected during a dining-out experience to flagrant evidence that one total racial group in this city -- African-Americans --- somehow holds an alleged apparent monopoly amounting to a very unwanted defacto hostage-taking over the background music systems in local restaurants.
It is a very rare exception-to-the-rule moment when I myself as a polite white gentleman with no criminal- conviction record get to enjoy the pleasure of listening to a talented non-smoking wholesome white American professional singer or white British professional singer who exhibits first-rate vocalization, no hint of a tobacco-scarred singing voice (and this IS a major issue for a lifelong abstainer from tobacco and opponent of the tobacco industry such as myself), and creatively vital, memorable lyrics in the music systems of local restaurants.
Mayor Mendenhall, I would like to also respectfully point out that medical studies have confirmed the accuracy of my complaint to you today.
I would like to call your attention to the following latter portion of a specific sentence from the paragraph farther below that I found in a reliable online report on the Internet this week:
".... HEARING THE SAME PATTERN REPEATEDLY (IN BACKGROUND MUSIC) CAN CAUSE DIFFERENT TYPES OF HEADACHES(,) INCLUDING TENSION HEADACHES AND MIGRAINES."
"Noise
"Another common headache-inducing activity is exposure to loud noises and music. Our ears are sensitive to a lot of different things which is why changes in volume and frequency of the noise around us can be one of the most common reasons that individuals experience headaches. Listening to music at loud volumes for extended periods of time or hearing the same pattern repeatedly can cause different types of headaches including tension headaches and migraines. Headaches that stem from loud noises can occur instantly or be the result of prolonged exposure."
That factual statement came from the following online link:
https://www.resultspt.com/blog/posts/daily-activities-that-could-be-causing-headaches-or-vertigo#:~:text=Listening%20to%20music%20at%20loud,the%20result%20of%20prolonged%20exposure.
Mayor Mendenhall, it also seems to me that being subjected to the monotonously repetitive and blood-pressure-raising Racial Monopoly and Poorly Vocalized Smokers' Singing in the currently anti-White music sound systems of many of the restaurants in Salt Lake City can increase the risk of a listener being harmed by "Brain Fatigue" very injurious to that listener's intellectual vitality. It is alleged possible Brain Fatigue that might also be linked to the involuntary listener later suffering from the onset of Alzheimer's Disease, it seems to me.
Thank you in advance, Mayor Mendenhall, for your friendly reply letter to me on this very important quality-of-life issue, cultural diversity issue, and medical issue here in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sincerely and Best Wishes,
From gainfully employed and law-abiding, permanently alcohol-free, single adult English-Scottish-German-ancestry White Non-Hispanic Salt Lake City resident John Kevin McMillan.
