I am hopeful that my one-member and non-Christian and crime-prevention-minded "Progressive Prohibitionist Religion" will someday sponsor a public symposium focused exclusively on the category of crime classified as ATTEMPTED homicide, and how to help PREVENT attempts of that hideous nature in the present and future.
The logic behind this type of symposium would be to promote greater focus on that subject, along with additional research aimed at boosting deterrence of ATTEMPTED homicide.
Scholarly experts on ATTEMPTED homicide from around the nation, and possibly from Canada and Mexico as well, could be asked to participate in the proposed public symposium.

I also feel that there's an urgent need for a new online website or database that exclusively contains a wide array of statistical data focused on ATTEMPTED homicide as a category of crime in the United States.
Among those statistics: In what percentage of the cases of first-degree homicides in the United States did the murder occur AFTER at least one previous ATTEMPT by the murderer that had failed?
Other statistics might cite factors that might help explain why some of those who committed ATTEMPTED homicide chose to refrain from attempting to commit homicide at any time in the future, while others who were guilty of attempted homicide will attempt to murder someone in the future as well.
