Subject: Re: [Records Center] Public Information Request :: R010168-083021
September 15, 2021
Dear Texas Assistant Attorney General June B. Harden at your state agency headquarters in Austin,
Thank you for your September 10, 2021, reply letter (below) to me relating to my August 26-dated public-information request to your state agency.
I should have clarified for you that the scope of my most recent public information request to your state agency was not limited to your Texas OAG Human Trafficking crime investigations unit.
My request had sought "a copy of any and all e-mail communications or other written communications generated or received or sent or mailed or forwarded at any time since June 21, 2019, by the OAG Deputy Attorney General for Criminal Justice or by the OAG Director of Law Enforcement, or by any staff member under either of those OAG officials' direct supervision in their respective office areas, that referred at least once in any manner to myself, John Kevin McMillan. Excluded from the scope of this public-information request are any and all e-mails that were written by myself or e-mailed by myself to your state-government agency in Austin."
Among the high-ranking OAG officials for whom I have directly sent numerous crime-reports to each of those officials' correct respective OAG e-mail addresses ("josh.reno@texasattorneygeneral.gov" and "brent.dupre@texasattorneygeneral.gov") during the applicable time period are Josh Reno and Brent Dupre, respectively. From what I understand, the current Deputy Attorney General for Criminal Justice at your state agency in Austin is Josh Reno. The current Director of Law Enforcement for your state agency in Austin is reportedly Brent Dupre.
When I have written to your state agency's Human Trafficking unit, I have consistently used a separate official e-mail address for that: "humantrafficking@oag.texas.gov".
Ms. Harden, are you indicating in your response to my public-information request that neither Josh Reno nor Brent Dupre nor any staff member whom either of those OAG officials supervise or report to (if applicable) have during the applicable time period written or sent any written communications referring to me at least once or received any communications referring to me at least once that were each sent to applicable OAG officials by someone other than me?
Thank you for your very kind patience with me on this one hopefully-polite follow-up question to you. I hope to hear from you soon.
Best Wishes,
public-information requestor John Kevin McMillan of north Austin.
My efficiency-apartment-unit rental-home address ever since June 21, 2019:
Pebble Creek Apts., 8805 North Plaza Drive, Bldg. 17, Apt. 2418, Austin, TX 78753.

Mr. McMillan:
I don’t think you are appreciating what I am saying. When any person submits a communication, it is logged into the Constituent Affairs computer system. You are sending e-mails to the Human Trafficking e-mail address. That e-mail is forwarded to the intake person to log into the Constituent Affairs system. The only documentation is the forwarding of your e-mail to the intake person. There is no communication-just your e-mail. I have attached copies of a few of these e-mails so that you can see that the only thing that you will receive is a copy of your e-mail, which you say you don’t want and for which you will have to pay me to redact all of the personal e-mail addresses. If you still want a cost estimate after you see what you’re paying for, please let me know and I will be happy to provide one.
Sincerely,
June B. Harden
