MIKE SCOTT, CHIEF OF CRIMINAL LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR THE 'TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY' STATE AGENCY IN AUSTIN, ON AUGUST 15, 1997, WRITES AND MAILS TO ME A SIGNED REPLY LETTER ON OFFICIAL DPS LETTERHEAD STATIONERY IN RESPONSE TO A CRIMINAL-LAW COMPLAINT FROM MYSELF I HAD FILED WITH THE DPS IN AUSTIN RELATING TO A LATE 1995 INCIDENT TO WHICH I AS A FULL-TIME SPORTS REPORTER FOR 'THE BAYTOWN SUN' DAILY NEWSPAPER WAS SUBJECTED AGAINST MY WISHES THAT ALLEGEDLY OCCURRED ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 10 IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS AS I DROVE WESTWARD TOWARD BAYTOWN AFTER ATTENDING AND COVERING A VARSITY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME IN A SOUTHEAST TEXAS TOWN NEAR THE LOUISIANA BORDER
