Another energy-saving tip I found online today from Austin Energy, a registered-trademark name for the City of Austin Utilities Department, in a copyright-2020 statement from Austin Energy:
Change the filter to your air conditioning system.
"Heating and cooling consume the most energy in the average home.
"Dirty air filters make your furnace, central air conditioner, or room air conditioner work harder to circulate air. By cleaning or replacing your filters, you can work to lower your heating and cooling system energy use...."
