CITY HALL OFFICIAL: SHE IS NOT AWARE OF ANY CITY COUNCIL MEMBER (OTHER THAN DISTRICT 10 COUNCIL MEMBER ALISON ALTER, I MYSELF POINTED OUT) WHO HAS IMPOSED A PERMANENT BAN ON ANY AND ALL E-MAIL LETTERS OR PHONE CALLS TO THAT COUNCIL MEMBER'S CTY HALL OFFICE FROM A CONSTITUENT RESIDING IN THAT COUNCIL MEMBER'S DISTRICT

"Not to my knowledge" (exact quote), replied Austin City Council District 5 Council Member Ann Kitchen's Constituent Liaison, Dora Anguiano, when asked by me on the telephone at 4:54 p.m. today (Monday, April 24, 2017) whether Ms. Anguiano is herself aware of any case of any Austin City Council member under the new system of direct representation by geographical district who has ever at any time imposed a permanent ban on e-mail letters or phone calls from a resident of that Council member's district.

Ms. Anguiano also stated that it would be appropriate for me to direct my inquiries about this public-policy issue to the Office of Austin Mayor Steve Adler.

Earlier today, I did in fact send an e-mail letter about this public-policy issue to the female executive assistant to Mayor Adler, who herself schedules one-to-one meetings at City Hall between law-abiding Austin residents such as myself and our city's distinguished and very influential Mayor.

Mayor Adler, a private attorney, is the second Jewish mayor in the entire history of Austin
