This "Central Market" (registered trademark) brand hummus contains zero grams of saturated fat per two-tablespoon serving, according to the ingredients label for that Middle-Eastern-style food product.
So far, I have not identified any other brand of hummus on display inside my neighborhood H.E.B. supermarket that also features ZERO grams of saturated fat per two-tablespoon serving.
That is a huge advantage to the Central Market-brand roasted red pepper hummus. I might add that several of the other Central Market-brand hummus products at H.E.B. stores also feature zero grams of saturated fat per serving.
Just as important, this particular brand of roasted red-pepper hummus is delicious. It is also a product true to its name: according to the ingredients label, the two leading ingredients are chickpeas and roasted red peppers.
Another advantage to the Central Market-brand roasted red pepper hummus: each serving contains only 120 mg, or 5 percent of the recommended maximum daily consumption of sodium.
Low in saturated fat and low in sodium: this is exactly what a first-rate cardiologist would recommend.
