Title: ARE THERE ANY LAW-ABIDING NON-SMOKERS SEEKING ROOMMATE SITUATION?

Whenever I search for a roommate in Austin, Texas, most of the responses I get are from:

---smokers.

---smokers who state that "if we room together, I promise that I will always smoke OUTSIDE of our apartment unit".

---persons who admit they are current or former alcoholics or drug addicts.

---persons who admit (or later indicate) to me that they frequently (or sometimes) participate in S&M (a sadomasochistic sex life).

---persons who later confess to me (whether in a mock-confession or an actual confession to me) that they committed a violent felony crime in another U.S. state.

---persons who routinely refer to law-enforcement officers as "cops".

---persons who brag to me that "I never have any contact with the cops, since I don't do anything that would call attention to myself with the cops".

---persons who state that they have "no criminal record to speak of", without ever clarifying exactly what they mean by "to speak of".

---persons who admit that they smoke marijuana.

---persons who prompt me to wonder if they have possible alleged ties to organized crime.

---persons who admit to me that they are taking psychiatric medications.

---persons who admit to me that they were sexually abused in their past, and are currently suffering from "post-traumatic stress disorder" as a result.

---persons who admit to me that they are not currently working at an actual workplace in the Austin area.

---persons who admit that they do not receive any "paychecks", but who hasten to add that they are "self-employed".

---persons who admit to me that they previously resided in a "crackhouse" in Austin or in Central America.

---persons who admit that they had previously resided in a "crackhouse" in east Austin over a multi-month period without ever once filing a formal criminal-law complaint against any of the crack cocaine dealers with the Austin Police Department.

---persons who appear to specialize in providing fraudulent responses to "roommate-wanted" listings from myself.

---persons who are subjecting me to an obvious scam.

---persons who inform me that if I room with them, they will often have sex in the living room of our apartment unit with complete strangers, and that I myself would not be charged any fee if I wanted to watch the two of them having sex together in the living room.

---persons who grab me and sexually proposition me during my exploratory interview with them as a prospective new roommate for them inside their apartment.
