Obama's opportunity to promote tobacco-free living

The conversion that Presidential Candidate Barack Obama reportedly underwent, in which he quit smoking at his wife's request, presents a golden opportunity for the soon-to-be-inaugurated Obama.
Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have the opportunity to offer and sponsor speeches and presentations and public forums about the pervasive benefits that they and their children experienced after Barack Obama quit smoking for good.
It is likely that millions of American smokers will be so moved by the Obamas' public plea on behalf of quitting smoking, that they may also be converted to the cause of tobacco-free living.
And when the inevitable historic event occurs in which President Obama meets with Cuba's political leadership, it will be a great and momentous occasion when President Obama is photographed politely declining to accept a cigar from Cuban officials.
"No form of tobacco product, no matter how elegant or stylish or popular or prestigious, will ever again touch my lips," President Obama may be quoted by the news media as declaring that day.
