Subject: Urgent Need for 'UT Statistics' database for UT Leg

Dear Utah State Legislature House Majority Leader Mike Schultz,

Thank you again for very encouraging December 6, 2023, e-mail request to me that I continue to send you concerns of mine that might be pertinent for the Utah House of Representatives.

As I'm sure you might agree, the massive influx of newcomers into Utah this century has brought with it a wide array of public-policy issues----among them being the very critical issue of how to reduce the incidence of cocaine consumption and cocaine trafficking here  in Utah.

I myself  am a  law-abiding and gainfully employed, permanently alcohol-free, lifelong-tobacco-free, anti-marijuana-minded,  lifelong-tattoo-less, clean-talking and non-profane, implicitly-deistic and factually focused, single adult white non-Hispanic  male  permanent resident of Utah and lifelong American citizen with strong Utahn and LDS ancestry. 

House Majority Leader Schultz, I respectfully urge you to please ask the Utah House of Representatives to approve funding for a strictly nonpartisan "Utah Today Surveys" year-round telephone interviews service that is focused on obtaining accurate factual sociological and public policy-related  information representative of all current Utahns. 

I also feel very confident that if your very influential Utah House of Representatives is willing to offer  your official support toward the compilation and publication and frequent updating of a truly authoritative "Utah Almanac" ----available either as  a hardbound reference book or as an online website ----- that provides factual information about a wide range of topics focused on Utah, this will help to significantly enhance the cultural literacy about Utah by any and all  government officials in Utah, parents, business owners, elementary school students, middle school students, junior high school students, high school students, college students, and educators throughout our state.

Majority Leader Schultz, I  also urge you to please ask your colleagues in  the Utah State  House to approve funding for development of a "Utah Facts" Supercomputer Database. That fact-filled database can greatly enhance the ability of each member of the Utah House to generate new ideas for truly helpful  legislation.

House Majority Leader Schultz, I feel sure that  you yourself may have reason to question the reliability and scope  of the current online databases that you and your Utah House colleagues have access to and rely upon---and I admit that I myself do not know what those Utah-focused databases are--- in your  authoring proposed new state laws or non-binding House Resolutions for our beloved Beehive State.

Among the topics for which I feel sure you and your colleagues might appreciate obtaining fully accurate and  authoritative information are:

---How widespread is bulimia in Utah of today?

---How widespread is anorexia in Utah of today?

----What percentage of Utahns of today lead an exclusively vegetarian dietary  lifestyle?

----What percentage of Utah youths of today live in a household with six or more total members of that household?

----What percentage of Utahns who are currently  seeking employment have been unemployed for six months or longer?

----What are the trends in the high school dropout rates by public high school students here in Utah?

---How widespread is addiction by adult Utahns age 18 or older  or teenage Utahns under age 18 to frequent  verbalization of the infamous "F-word" in their in-person  conversations or telephone conversations with others that occur  here  in Utah?

---What is the long-term trend in the percentage of all Utahns age 21 or older who addicted to spending money they earned at a workplace in Utah to have   additional tattoos emblazoned on their own body?

----What is the long-term trend in the percentage of all Utah residents who have paid money to have tattoos emblazoned on all or nearly all of their entire body, including their scalp, their neck,  their face, their arms, and their hands?

----What percentage of the Utahns of today were permanently  injured from an accident in which they fell while outdoors in Utah?

----What have been the long-term and short-term trends in home-invasion crimes here in Utah?

---What are the long-term and short-term trends in somnophilia-related sex  crimes here in Utah?

----What is the long-term trend in the percentage of felony personal-injury crimes here in Utah that are later classified as Continuous Personal-Injury Crimes?

----What are the long-term and short-term  trends here  in Utah in the incidence of  inter-racial personal injury crimes involving bodilly injury Utah in which the victim is white and the perpetrator is black?

-----What are the long-term trends in the incidence  of continuous noise-pollution-infliction crimes in Utah in which the victim went "deaf" in one or both of his ears?

-----When was the most recent occasion in which an individual in Utah was accused of subjecting another person to involuntary public nudism against the latter individual's wishes?

----What has been the long-term trend in the incidence of gang rapes that occur here in Utah?

-----When was the most recent occasion in which a person or group of persons were accused of having perpetrated an inter-racial  Hate Crime in Utah in which the victim was White non-Hispanic in racial identity?

----What are the categories of felony crimes here in Utah for which the recidivism or repeat offender rates by persons previously convicted of that felony crime are the highest?

-----What are the long-term and short-term trends in the percentage of all adult Utahns age 21 or older who were arrested at least once on a criminal charge of having participated in illegal gambling here in Utah?

----What are the long-term trends in the incidence of attempted U-turns by motorists in Utah that result in a crash with another motor vehicle or a bicyclist or pedestrian or skateboarder or scooter-rider?

---Do Utah residents who were not born in Utah account for a disportionately high percentage of all of the violent felony crimes that are committed in Utah?

---What are the long-term and short-term trends in the per-capita quantity of consumption of tap water in Utah?

---What are the 10 most frequent  reasons why Utah residents of today file for personal bankruptcy in Utah?

----What has been the long-term trend in the percentage of all Utah residents age 13 or older who either illegally or legally smoke tobacco cigarettes?

---Which water-conserving  botanical plants that grow well outdoors here in Utah have been identified as the most effective at removing pollutants from the air here in Utah, and which recent  statistical reports confirm that statement?
