Thank you for contacting the City of Austin. Your request was received in this office on 10/20/2021 and given the reference number C116334-102021 for tracking purposes. Your request will be forwarded to the relevant City departments to locate the information you seek.
Records Requested: This is a public-information request in which I am seeking from you a copy of records citing the full legal names only or first and last names only for each and every one of the respective persons who in the period ever since June 21, 2019, have each been separately issued by the City Government of Austin Controller's Office at least one paycheck that contained the primary street address in Austin, Texas, for the paycheck recipient of "8805 North Plaza Drive" or "8805 North Plaza Court", or some abbreviated version of either of those two street addresses, along with any additional specific address information for the recipient, such as that individual's unit number.
The correct official address for the apartment complex in northeast Austin where I myself reside, Pebble Creek Apartments, is 8805 North Plaza Drive, Apt. 2418, Austin, Texas, 78753. However, in the last few years as a tenant at that address I myself have received numerous letters that had been delivered to my designated mailbox for my unit at Pebble Creek Apartments that were each addressed to "8805 North Plaza Court" or "8805 North Plaza Ct", followed by additional address information. This explains why the scope of my public-information request also includes City of Austin Controller's Office-issued paychecks to persons with a cited mailing address at "8805 North Plaza Court" in Austin, along with any additional specific address information for that recipient. I myself have lived alone ever since June 21, 2019, as the only apartment-management-team-approved tenant and only apartment-management-team approved occupant in Apt. 2418 of Bldg. 17 at Pebble Creek Apartments, 8805 N. Plaza Drive, in northeast Austin. Each of the official leases issued to me for Apartment 2418 by the management team in the last few years have cited my own first and last name, John McMillan, as the only tenant and only occupant.
I myself have never been employed by the City Government of Austin, and in the entire period ever since I moved back to Austin in mid-March 1997 I do not recall having ever been granted a job interview by the City of Austin. I have applied for a variety of positions with the City of Austin, including with the Austin Police Department, on numerous total separate occasions.
During the tenure of Ronnie Earle as Travis County District Attorney, I was granted a job interview with Travis County Government for a support-staff position at the Travis County District Attorney's Office in downtown Austin. However, I was not hired for that position of employment. I later submitted a politely-worded letter of complaint through the DA's Office which alleged that I had heard an offensive obscene comment ("Fag") that was allegedly verbalized about me or near me by a member of the DA's Office staff as I politely and quietly waited in the lobby area for my job interview minutes later that day. The District Attorney's Office replied to me in writing, in a signed legal letter to me on official Travis County DA's Office stationery, that they were not able to confirm that any staff member in that office had heard or verbalized the word "Fag" within earshot of me on the cited occasion.
My primary landline phone number and primary e-mail address throughout the entire multi-year period ever since June 21, 2019, have always been and continue to be (512) 342-2295 and mcmillanj@att.net, respectively. My personal cell phone number ever since August 2019 has always been and continues to be (512) 993-7305.
I am the current criminal-law complainant in APD Alleged Sex Crimes and Alleged Home Invasion Crimes Case 2021-2440624. APD opened that crime case on Sept. 1, 2021, with first-rate APD Sex Crimes Unit Detective William Costello being the investigator for that case. Detective Costello's direct-line APD office phone number is (512) 974-4247. A thorough forensic DNA swabs sexual assault evidence medical exam on me that had been pre-authorized in writing by APD Detective Costello was performed on me by a female forensic nurse in the early morning hours of Sept. 2, 2021, inside the emergency room of Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, in central Austin.
One of the issues in the current APD crime case that I have mentioned to APD Detective Costello has centered on the need for complete identification of any and all possible points of entry into my current always-bolt-locked second-floor, eastward-facing efficiency rental-apartment unit at Pebble Creek Apartments. I have discussed with, and written to, Mr. Jeff Libby of the City's Code Enforcement office about the issue of one or more possible additional points of entry into my current apartment unit that I myself have not been informed about by my current apartment management team.
One difficult-to-identify point of entry into my current unit from the attic above my multi-unit Building 17 where I live was identified for me for the first time ever by a first-rate home-security expert and service manager, Andrew Tijerina, during an on-duty visit to my current unit that he made on behalf of Fortress Lock, Safe, & Security on October 1, 2021. I was later informed by the polite general manager for Pebble Creek Apartments, Juan Acosta, that I am asked by Mr. Acosta to not place a lock on that particular point of entry on the ceiling of my apartment's walk-in closet. Mr. Acosta added that his maintenance staff might need access to that point of entry into my own unit or into the attic directly connected to my and other second-floor Building 17 units in the event of an emergency, Mr. Acosta stated.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely and Best Wishes,
John Kevin McMillan, public-information requestor.
