I am very glad I wrote and sent out this letter today that urges the Utah DPS to preside over full statistical documentation of exactly many so-called "medical"-marijuana-related motor vehicle accidents and exactly how many other marijuana-related motor vehicle accidents occur each month, by county, here in Utah:

Subject: 'Medical' Marijuana-related Vehicular Accidents in UT
March 11, 2024
Dear Utah Department of Public Safety Public Information Officer Cameron Roden,
Best Wishes to you and your other nobly crime-prevention-minded colleagues with the DPS in Taylorsville.
I am writing you today to ask for information in regard to whether the Utah DPS currently requires that each and every official police report and official DPS report on any motor vehicle accident that occurs in Utah:
----Must include information in a specified box or specified section of that report in regard to whether the accident involved only one driver behind the wheel who was apparently "medical"-marijuana-impaired.
------Must include information in a specified box or specified section of that report in regard to whether the accident involved two or more drivers behind the wheel who were each apparently "medical-marijuana-impaired".
------Must include information about whether the accident apparently involved at least one driver who was apparently marijuana-impaired, but not "medical" marijuana-impaired, and at least one driver who was apparently "medical" marijuana-impaired.
------Must include information about whether the accident involved at least two motorists who were apparently marijuana-impaired, but none of the drivers in the accident appeared to have been "medical"-marijuana-impaired behind the wheel.
I also hope the Utah State Legislature has provided adequate funding to your statewide law-enforcement agency toward monthly compilation by your agency of an official county-by-county and overall statewide report containing statistics focused on each of the above-cited categories.
As an opponent of the legalization of so-called "medical" marijuana that has occurred here in Utah, I also hope that another State of Utah agency will closely monitor and compile statistics about how much water is consumed and how much total outdoor cropland acreage is used by the so-called "medical" marijuana-production industry here in Utah.
As you may be aware, Sgt. Roden, the prestigious "Cleveland Clinic" in Ohio for many years has courageously opposed legalization of so-called "medical" marijuana.
I am very hopeful that your DPS state agency former employee Joe Dougherty---now a top official at the Utah Department of Health and Human Services state agency---will help publicize alternatives to "medical" marijuana for relief of pain in Utah residents who were officially diagnosed by a doctor as "terminally ill" or as otherwise meeting currently-state-approved medical criteria for participation in the "Utah Legal Medical Cannabis Program".
I hope to hear from you soon, Sgt. Roden.
Sincerely and Best Wishes,
former Texas DPS full-time staff member John Kevin McMillan, the youngest grandson of Murray (UT) butcher shop owner Parley Neal McMillan and his devoted LDS member wife, Mrs. Alice Mae Pugh (maiden surname) McMillan of Murray.
I feel very sure that my grandparents in Murray would have both been outraged by the alarming trend toward "legalization" of psychoactive marijuana (as distinct from hemp per se, which does not contain any psychoactive ingredient) that has occurred here in the "Beehive State"!
