Dear Very Honorable Austin Police Department Representatives,
Today while pursuing online research about the Austin Police Department (APD), I was very surprised to find an online link with a possible anti-APD message that poses a major concern to me. The address for that webpage is: "https://dontcallthepolice.com/austin"
I am worried that the above-cited webpage and website might discourage many Austin residents from directly contacting the Austin Police Department specifically and promptly to report possible crime evidence they had observed or heard about.
I am referring to phone calls they ordinarily would have made to either 911 or to Austin 311 telephone information and referral service, which often serves as an initial point of contact for APD on non-emergency reports.
I am writing to each of you APD officers today in the hope that one of you will please be willing to state to me in writing whether the Austin Police Department officially pre-approved or officially approved the above-cited webpage focused on Austin.
If not, is it possible that the above-cited website may have a possible alleged role in alleged possible obstruction of justice that could possibly violate the state penal code----and on that basis should be promptly investigated by crime detectives for the Austin Police Department?
I hope this e-mail letter is helpful to your excellence-minded, crime-investigations-focused and crime-suspect-apprehensions-focused municipal law-enforcement agency in Austin, Texas.
