A bizarre image pops into the human head in response to the bleak prediction by astrophysicist Stephen Hawking of England that human civilization has only 100 more years left before it is annihilated.
That image is of an absurd "race among nations on Earth to develop and successfully transport to other planets as soon as possible detailed time capsules that tell inhabitants of other planets what Earthlings in their own nation on this doomed planet were like, and why their own nation on Earth was the greatest of the many nations that fell in the demise of all of human civilization on this particular planet."
