Dear Mr. McMillan:
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, Austin Fire Department is not responsible for the maintenance of the city’s fire department. Repairs are handled by City of Austin Water/Wastewater Utility Dispatch at 512.972.1208
However, I contacted Dispatch and reported the problem, and they made a ticket for repair. If you ever have need of this information again, you may wish to bookmark this link on your computer:

After making the request for you, I was informed it had already been repaired at 2pm today. The email is attached.

At intersection of North Plaza Drive and East Rundberg Ln, a matter of yards from and possibly on the property of a "Circle K" chain convenience store.
I reported this public safety hazard by telephone on a recent prior day to Austin 311 and then spoke minutes later on my cell phone with a female rep for a City dept. that 311 had referred me to that day.
However, this morning (Tuesday), when I took these three photos after 11 am, the same problem was still there.
Best Wishes,
District 4 resident and nearby Pebble Creek Apartments tenant John Kevin McMillan.

Good afternoon Val,
After our conversation I looked up the hydrant. It was actually repaired today at 2:20pm. The service request was put in on 8/7/20 and it was completed today by our Valves and Hydrants team. The service request is 936352 and the citizen can contact AW Dispatch at 512-972-1000 and select option 1 if they have further questions.
Thank you,
