Dear Honorable Law-Enforcement Officers and Crime-Deterrence-Minded Government Officials,
I would like to share with each of you the exact verbatim text (directly below) of my most recent public-information request to the Austin (TX) Police Department (APD), along with the confirmation e-mail reply letter (final item, below) I received from APD tonight in response to my request. I wrote and submitted this online public-information request at 9:06 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the official City Government of Austin website for accepting public-information requests:
"Ten or fewer pages of legal documents currently on file with Austin Police (APD) that refer to the arrest by one or more APD officers of at least one crime suspect for alleged continuous home-invasion crimes that were allegedly inflicted on one or more cited crime victims over a multi-day period, multi-week period, multi-month period, or multi-year period during their sleeping hours as they lay asleep and unconscious on their bed or beds inside their locked rental-apartment unit, locked rental home, or locked home in Austin, Texas."
