IF DONALD TRUMP HAD BEEN PRIME MINISTER, AND NOT PRESIDENT, HOW LONG WOULD HIS TERM OF OFFICE HAVE LASTED UNDER A PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM?


Many observers have noted that the Trump Presidency suggests a major advantage to the British system of government.

Under the British system, a vote of "no confidence" in the current head of state and his administration by Parliament prompts the resignation of the Prime Minister and a special election to determine which party or political coalition should be in control of, or gain control of, the national government.
