Dear Very Honorable Public-Safety-Minded and Risk Management-Minded Officials,
I am also hopeful that one or more of you officials will be willing to publicly advocate for establishment by the Utah Legislature of an official new "Utah Pedestrians Ombudsman" or "Utah Pedestrians Liaison Officer" position of leadership for pedestrians of all ages throughout our state.
That new official for the State of Utah could offer a 24-hour-a-day hotline that invites pedestrian concerns, pedestrian complaints, and pedestrian suggestions from throughout our entire state.
That Utah Pedestrians Liaison Officer could also testify before a committee of the Utah Legislature and could work with the Utah Department of Transportation and Utah Department of Public Safety to ensure that pedestrians and bicyclists get safe walking or bicycling conditions throughout our entire state.
As each of you must be very aware, there is something intrinsically noble about the pedestrians and bicyclists of our state.
They contribute significantly toward reduction of air pollution levels throughout our state and toward reduction of motor-vehicle traffic congestion on roadways of Utah. They also help our entire state to conserve on our collective fossil-fuel consumption levels.
Thank you to each of you for accepting and reviewing this two-part letter from me. I would welcome a reply letter from any of you on any aspect of this.
Sincerely and Best Wishes,
Progressive Prohibitionist Religion founder and only member John Kevin McMillan, 535 South 200 East, Apt. 912, Salt Lake City, UT 84111.
Cell phone: (512) 993-7305.
