Some of my pet peeves include:
---a waitperson in a restaurant who tells me that her name is "Raquel," for instance, and who then hands me a bill for my meal in which her name is cited instead as being something completely different ("Anna Q," for instance).
I find that I am more likely to trust a waitperson who exhibits consistency in his or her statements to me of that type.

My First Interview After I Become Famous
Back in 1990, a European visitor to the United States commented to me in West Texas that he was sure I'd be famous someday.
That comment has since prompted me to anticipate the first interview with a media company anywhere in the world that I'll grant after I am officially identified as being "famous."
That interview will probably go a bit like this:
INTERVIEWER: I find it admirable that you are seeking to help establish a generous financial fund that will assist individuals who suffer medical damage to themselves from year-round exposure to noise pollution they did not generate or want.
JKM: Thank you. I definitely feel there's an urgent need for financial funds of that type, offering either long-term low-interest-rate personal loans or financial stipends or grants to individuals suffering from medical injury resulting from their involuntary exposure to noise pollution on a repeated basis.
INTERVIEWER: Which states or cities of the United States do you regard as being the quietest?
JKM: I would need to travel the entire country to be sure. I think I'd buy a Quietness Meter and carry that with me everywhere, including indoors, on that trip.
INTERVIEWER: Are you baffled as to why the U.S. Government appears to largely ignore many of the noise pollution issues that arise in modern life?
JKM: Yes, I think 'baffled' sums up my reaction very tactfully.
INTERVIEWER: Are you hinting, possibly, that there might even be some degree of anger on your part toward the sources of that noise pollution, and toward government agencies that fail to adequately deter noise pollution?
JKM: I prefer not to speak in terms of anger. I take pride in having moral indignation, though.
INTERVIEWER: Are you indignant enough to march on the street on behalf of the legal rights of those who prefer quietude in the background?
JKM: Possibly, but I'd be concerned about the march being too noisy. I would hate to undermine my moral crusade against noise that way.
INTERVIEWER: Do you at least support the idea of filing criminal-law charges against those persons who knowingly subject any individual against his wishes--yourself, for instance----to noise pollution on a continuing basis that is medically and emotionally and financially injurious to himself, and that violates his privacy rights.
JKM: I definitely do. I am convinced, too, that there will be many legal precedents to emerge in that very important criminal-law arena. I can imagine entire government-owned institutions or non-profit entities and entire business entities or media companies being determined in a criminal-law courtroom to be criminally responsible for that type of reprehensible conduct.

Tangible Advantages to an Alcohol-Free Lifestyle
Among the tangible advantages to your pursuing a lifestyle in which you completely abstain from any consumption of drinking alcohol (and I will be adding more information to this blog on a year-round basis) are:
(1) If you are pregnant and consume ANY alcoholic beverages, you needlessly increase the risk of your child being born with congenital birth defects such as a small head or a defective heart. Those individuals born with "fetal alcohol sydnrome," as it is called, are also at increased risk of being developmentally disabled.

(2) If you drink more than two alcoholic drinks per day, you are at increased risk of coronary heart disease. This occurs because of destruction of heart muscle and accompanying symptoms such as irregular heartbeat (arrthymias) or heart failure.

(3) If you are male and you drink more than two alcoholic drinks per day, you are at increased risk of suffering a stroke.

(4) Consumption of alcohol can cause cirrhosis of the liver in yourself.

President Obama: Are you Truly Tough on Crime Within U.S.?
One question that should be posed to U.S. President Barack Obama at a press coference in the very near future is simply this:
PRESIDENT OBAMA, CAN YOU OFFER ME A RELIABLE ESTIMATE ON WHAT PERCENTAGE OF ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS OF TODAY HAVE NEVER BEEN CONVICTED OF ANY FELONY CRIME AT ANY TIME IN THEIR ENTIRE LIFE?
HOW DOES THAT PERCENTAGE COMPARE WITH 10 YEARS AGO, 20 YEARS AGO, OR 50 YEARS AGO?
Some follow-up questions that could and should be posed to President Obama during a Press Conference of that type might be:
---President Obama, do you know what percentage of all Americans of today have been convicted of having committed a violent felony crime? How does that percentage compare with 10 or 20 or 50 years ago?
---President Obama, why is it that you almost never talk publicly about crimes inside this country and crime statistics relating to crimes committed by American citizens within the U.S.A. who have not themselves been identified as terrorists per se?
---President Obama, would you support the establishment of an independently-endowed financial fund that could be drawn from each year to award a $1 million prize to the American citizen or non-profit group or business entity in the United States that during the most recent 12-month period offered the best suggestion or idea on behalf of lowering the rate of recidivism among Americans who have been convicted of committing a felony crime or misdemeanor crime.
--President Obama, in view of the widespread incidence of pathological dishonesty in America today, would you support the establishment of a special category of felony crime that would exclusively consist of felony crimes involving specifically cited pathological dishonesty or mendacity. I am referring to the felony crime from providing others with fraudulent medical care services, the felony crime from providing others with fraudulent informational services, the felony crime of insurance fraud, the felony crime of forgery, the felony crime of perjury resulting from dishonest courtroom testimony, etc.
--President Obama, would you support establishment of an advisory committee to review the current state and federal pedal codes relating to terrorism-related crimes, including, I might add, terroristic theats as a hideous category of crime all too common in American society today.
--President Obama, would you please tell me what percentage of all felony crimes and what percentage of all misdemeanor crimes in the United States for which a conviction occurred last year in a court of law in the United States, were, in fact, crimes in which the person found guilty of that crime was either high on illicit drugs or intoxicated from an alcoholic beverage at the time when he committed that crime.
Mr. President, if you don't know the answer to that two-part question, do you at least believe that this is the type of factual statistic that the President of the United States should have immediate and year-round access to through data bases provided to himself in The White House?
---President Obama, do you support the proposed establishment of a non-profit group that is exclusively designed to provide counseling services to and generously befriend persons who are either friends or relatives of someone they suspect of being an illicit-drug dealer. At present, I myself am not aware of any nationwide non-profit "support group," if you could call it that, for the relatives or friends of ilicit-drug dealers.
---President Obama, particularly in view of the growing threat of terrorism linked to injurious anonymous communications from complete strangers, do you believe the United States Government is doing enough to monitor any and all sources of anonymous communications occurring in this country?
---President Obama, are you satisfied with the current level of accuracy and reliability of computer data readily available to the federal government that provides you and your federal colleagues with nationwide statistics, as well as statistics by multi-state region and by state and by city and by urban area, about the incidence of reported crime and criminal-conviction-related matters in this country? For instance, can you tell me what percentage of all adult Americans of today have no criminal-conviction record?
Mr. President, I guess my question on this is whether you believe there's an urgent need for updating and improving and expanding the criminal-law data base available to the federal government? Do you propose additional federal funding toward that goal?
---President Obama, do you recall the last occasion when you yourself or your wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, dialed 911 in order to report evidence of possible alleged criminal conduct you yourself or Michelle Obama had directly observed? Since you emphasize that the President should practice good citizenship skills, do you plan to continue calling 911 on a habitual basis to report evidence of possible criminal conduct you've directly observed during your tenure as President?
---President Obama, do you know the category of felony crime, if any, for which it has been the most difficult for a law-enforcement agency in the U.S., such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, to obtain DNA legal evidence on behalf of apprehending a suspect and helping to convict a cited defendant in a court of law? Do you support increased federal funding for forensics-science research aimed at increasing the number of felony crimes for which DNA evidence can be routinely and without any difficulty obtained by a law-enforcement agency in this country.
---President Obama, do you know whether any of the state laws prohibiting "hate crimes" specifically protect senior citizens as a group from being victimized by a "hate crime" in which a younger person, such as a teenage male person in Florida, for instance, might shout "I hate you, Old Geezer!" before physically assaulting a senior citizen in Florida in an unconscionable manner. How common are hate crimes in which senior citizens are specifically targeted for that type of deplorable inter-generational abuse involving the commission of a crime.
---Mr. President, do you believe that American society currently has adequate penalties imposed on Americans for retaliating against an individual who had called 911 and cited evidence indicating that they themselves possibly violated the state penal code through their own conduct.
--President Obama, would you please tell me which U.S. state currently has the highest violent crime rate? Do you believe that U.S. state has a particular need for additional federal funding aimed at helping to reduce that state's violent crime rate?
--President Obama, do you expect that the rapid increase in inter-state communications being fostered by the E-mail communications revolution in this nation will also bring with it a need for massive increases in the operations budget for the Federal Bureau of Investigation?
I am referring to inter-state communications (a resident of Denver, Colorado, for instance, who sends a profanity-filled and allegedly illegal E-mail letter to a resident of Wilmington, Delaware, that results in that Delaware resident filing a criminal-law charge against that Denver resident, with help from the Federal Bureau of Investigation) that appear to comprise a crime.
---President Obama, would you support a new federal law imposing the same cited minimum age nationwide in which a teenage American of high school age can have carnal relations or have sex with an adult person without that sexual activity being illegal in nature and classified as a sex crime? At present, as I'm sure you must be painfully aware, a few states have laws designating that minimum age as 16; other states, such as Texas, designate that minimum age as 17; still other states designate that minimum age as 18. Wouldn't it be more helpful on behalf of promoting full and consistent nationwide compliance with anti-pederasty laws, if the federal government were to impose a nationwide minimum age of 17, say, as the minimum age in which a young person can have mutual-consent sex with an adult person without the adult person himself (or herself) being guilty of statutory rape.
---President Obama, can you tell me how many environmental-crime convictions occurred last year in a court of law in the United States of America? Do you believe that the federal government's data bases for records of that type currently provide adequate nationwide statistics that can be helpful to public policy makers at the federal level? Also, do you support the establishment of an advisory commission to review all existing environmental-crimes laws and make recommendations on how those environmental-crimes laws could be revised to be more responsive to the needs of American society in the 21st Century.
---President Obama, do you believe that American citizens who have no criminal-conviction record or who have no felony-conviction record, at least, should qualify for a financial reward of some type through our nation's tax system? If so, how would you like to see that type of financial reward being offered?
---President Obama, do you believe the U.S. Government should do more than it currently does to provide recognition and rewards to individual Americans with felony conviction records who, during a post-prison time period in which they are no longer incarcerated, have gone 10 consecutive years without being charged with and convicted of committing any misdemeanor or any felony crime by any law-enforcement agency in the entire United States.
PRESIDENT OBAMA, CAN YOU OFFER ME A RELIABLE ESTIMATE ON WHAT PERCENTAGE OF ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS OF TODAY HAVE NEVER BEEN CONVICTED OF ANY FELONY CRIME AT ANY TIME IN THEIR ENTIRE LIFE?

Is there an American Poster Art Museum?
Those of us who love poster art as a way of enhancing the interior decor of our residence face an inevitable question:
Where is the American Poster Art Museum?
If there is one, I myself have never heard about it; but I have not pursued any research on that subject, either.
I love the idea, in any event, of an American Poster Art Museum---a museum presenting the history of American Posters as well as modern trends in American Posters.
It would be the type of innovative museum highlighting a genre of art that's accessible and communicative, often with a political or poetic written message.
Poster art can feel marvelously intimate, helping to dramatically transform and add a cheerful outlook to a homeowner's or apartment dweller's personal niche.
The best art posters, from what I have found in my own poster-collecting hobby, are posters with human faces that evoke a smile from myself when I walk past them. They are posters highlighting vicarious roommates or vicarious housemates---individuals who, though I never meet them in person, lift my morale.
I feel delighted by poster artworks of mine presenting wholesome photographs of fashionably-attired and youthful as well as stylish adult gentlemen and ladies. Those stylish individuals being photographed evoke a deeper affinity for themselves through their serenity, healthful good looks, refreshing athleticism, gracefulness, creativity, spontaneity, and zeal.
Another advantage to Poster Art is its financial affordability. Those who choose poster art as an alternative to purchasing a painting can save thousands of dollars during this time period in which most Americans are financially strapped.
I'm hopeful, in fact, that a traveling "Great American Poster Art Show" will be sponsored in numerous American cities in 2009. A traveling art show of that type might give Americans the chance to purchase an art work (a poster featuring a nice and expressive and and admirably athletic person's smile, for instance) that clearly cheers them up.
I would also expect that an American Poster Art Connoisseurs Association might get established during this period of widespread financial crisis that heightens one's appreciation for inexpensive artworks.

Environmental Mandate Against Military Conflict
There may be a need for a new non-profit group that is exclusively devoted to compiling factual evidence on behalf of a cited Environmental Mandate Against War.
It is obvious that our planet is devastated whenever a military conflict occurs. That severe damage to our planet and global environment occurs from massive consumption of fossil fuels by military forces, and by overall damage to the environment resulting from that military conflict.
It is also obvious that the United States of America and U.S. President Barack Obama should assign high priority to helping to strengthen the level of effectiveness of the United Nations in resolving disputes, as much as possible, without any military conflict ever occurring.
There is every hope, too, that when disputes between nations cannot be resolved through negotiations and dialogues in the United Nations, nations will opt for the last resort of filing a lawsuit against another nation in an international court of law. Every ruling in that international court of law can be a victory for peace, and a victory for environmental protection as well as natural-resource conservation.

More Press-Conference Questions for U.S. President Obama
At the type of weekly press conference tradition involving U.S. President Obama that I would like to see in this country, some of the questions that could be posed to our Chief of State might be:
(1) Mr. President, do you agree with those who maintain that the President of the United States has a moral obligation to help strengthen the role held by The United Nations in regard to each of the UN's cited missions and goals?
(2) Mr. President, what are you doing as our Chief of State to help strengthen The United Nations?
(3) Mr. President, do you know of any American citizens of today whom you believe are being persecuted in a noteworthy manner inside the United States of America? If so, do you sincerely and truly believe that you are doing enough to help each and every one of those those persecuted American citizens?
(4)Mr. President, do you oppose the deliberate and willful infliction of noise pollution inside this country upon a law-abiding American citizen with no criminal-conviction record? Mr. President, I am referring to deliberately-inflicted noise pollution that is allegedly being used as a means of "punishing" that law-abiding American citizen or providing a cited "negative reinforcement" to that American citizen ---- punishment or negative reinforcement that was permitted to occur because of cited political or religious beliefs or personal beliefs or thoughts or impressions held by that law-abiding American citizen with no criminal-conviction record.
