Mr. McMillan,
You are so very welcome. I have spoken with our IT Team, and this is what I was told:
“Due to the global silicone shortage and delays in the supply chain caused by COVID-19, the vendor who manufactures and repairs our signs has been experiencing significant delays in acquiring some components for the signs. We have had several signs damaged by vandalism throughout the system and are working to replace them as soon as we are able to.
We are expecting spare signs and parts to replace all the damaged signs within the next 30 days.”
While we understand those signs assist our customers with providing schedules for the routes servicing this location, we are doing our best to get this location and locations fixed as soon as we can. If there are anymore updates, I will notify you via this email chain.
Have a safe and wonderful day and thank you for riding Capital Metro.

Dear Austin-based Cap Metro Mass Transit Service Contact Center Supervisor Sondra Williams,
Thank you for your prompt reply note (below) to me about this very alarming longstanding problem at the cited heavily-trafficked bus stop along North Lamar Boulevard in northeast Austin. The cited bus stop is located a matter of yards from the property of a McDonald's-chain fast-food restaurant situated north of the bus stop and along that same street. A portion of the parking lot for an H.E.B.-chain supermarket is located a matter of feet west of the cited bus stop.
Please send me a follow-up note as soon as possible after the problem has been corrected.
I hope to hear from you soon.
With Friendly Best Wishes,
year-round Cap Metro bus service passenger John Kevin McMillan of northeast Austin (I reside in the District 4 section of Austin) in Travis County, Texas.
