Thank you for your August 19, 2020, reply letter (final item, below) to me in response to my August 15, 2020, online public-information request that I submitted on August 15 to your municipal government at your official City of Round Rock website.

Your reply note apparently indicates that neither the Internal Affairs Unit of the Round Rock Police Department nor any other unit of the Round Rock Police Department in calendar year 2020 has ever once generated or sent any document referring to me or has ever at any time received any document referring to me at least once that came from a source OTHER than myself, John Kevin McMillan of Austin.

Would you please clarify for me in writing whether you are in fact stating that NEITHER the Round Rock Police Department's Internal Affairs Unit nor any other Round Rock PD unit, nor any peace officer, staff member, official, or administrator of the Round Rock Police Department, at any time since January 1, 2020, has ever at any time written, produced, sent, e-mailed, mailed, FAXed, or forwarded any e-mail or other written communication referring to me at least once in any way, or has ever once received any document on any occasion this year that referred to me at least once in any way and that came from a source OTHER than myself, John Kevin McMillan of Austin?

On 8/15/2020 the City of Round Rock received your request for public records.

The City of Round Rock strictly adheres to the provisions of the Texas Public Information Act, Texas Government Code Ch. 552 (formerly, Open Records Act), and the interpretative opinions of the Texas Attorney General and the courts. 

We have no documents in our records that are responsive to your request meaning no records exist. The only communication we have mentioning your name is what has been received FROM you. Nothing has been written, produced, sent, e-mailed, mailed, faxed, or forwarded by any employee of the Round Rock Police Department nor have they received any communication from any source other than yourself.
