More Press Conference Questions for President Obama

In another proposed press conference at which U.S. President Barack Obama would be the elective official invited to answer questions, I am hopeful that the following questions will be posed to our nation's Chief of State:

---"President Obama, why haven't you asked the U.S. Congress to approve speedy conversion to the Metric System as part of our nation's economic recovery plan? Or do you currently claim that nationwide conversion to the Metric System would fail to serve as a major boost to our nation's economy, such as to foreign trade with foreign nations?"

---"Mr. President, is there any scenario in which you as our nation's Chief of State would urge sexually promiscuous men to undergo a vasectomy operation, in order to spare a female person from being impregnated against her wishes? Do you believe that Congress should be asked to approve a National Vasectomy Promotion Policy?"

---"Mr. President, I'm sure that many Americans are wondering whether you plan to insist on a truly comprehensive American Fresh Waterways Environmental Clean-Up Project aimed at making those waterways safe enough for swimming or fishing? Wouldn't a nationwide environmental-enhancement project of that type serve as an ideal type of 21st Century Public Works Project?"

----"Mr. President, have you as our nation's chief of state asked any federal official to provide you with statistics on what percentage of all current Stock Market financial investors are African-American or Hispanic, for instance? Do you believe that the racial or ethnic identity of Stock Market investors or Mutual Fund Investors should be disclosed to at least one agency of the federal government?"

---"Mr. President, would you support the establishment of a federally-sponsored 24-hour-a-day hotline phone number, such as "1-800-CORRUPT," that any federal employee or any private American citizen or visitor to the United States, for that matter, could call in order to report evidence of possible alleged governmental corruption or violation of the law in any context by any institution or agency owned by government, including a municipal government, a county government, regional governing authority, state government, or the federal government."

--"Mr. President, you are reportedly inviting all federal employees, including clerical employees of the U.S. Government, to offer suggestions on how the federal government can cut costs. Mr. President, I think many Americans are wondering why you aren't also promising very generous financial rewards to federal employees at any level who offer you the best idea for cutting costs incurred by the federal government?"

---"President Obama, is there any scenario in which you as our nation's Chief of State might conclude that the U.S. Government's Environmental Protection Agency should be expanded, with that federal agency then taking over all legal authority currently held by state-level environmental protection agencies? I raise this question because I think many Americans are disappointed by the inadequacy of environmental protection efforts and natural-resource conservation efforts being practiced by many of our nation's state governments. With the growing emphasis on the need for a coordinated nationwide response to environmental crises such as the Global Warming Effect, would you support this type of massive expansion of the Environmental Protection Agency for that crucial reason?"

---"Mr. President, would you support the establishment of an annual prize and accompanying generous financial award of $1 million, for instance, to the American citizen who in the most recent 12-month period contributed the most toward enhancement of our nation's overall natural-resource-conservation and energy-conservation mission?"

---"President Obama, do you plan to promote interest in government by establishing an annual tradition of a 'Children's Day at the White House'? I am referring to a day in which you as President would attend a public event on White House grounds where all of the persons attending that event would be children, and all questions posed to you at that event would come from children?"

---"President Obama, do you believe the U.S. Department of Education should do more than it currently does to monitor the quality level of each of the various online college-education and online graduate-school educational programs?"

--"President Obama, I'm sure you must be painfully aware that fraudulent communications in American society undermine Americans' ability to trust their fellow countrymen. Do you plan to appoint a Presidential Commission to study how fraudulent communications and fraudulent services in American society can be significantly reduced?"

----"President Obama, have you appointed any Presidential Advisory Commissions as yet? Please elaborate on that."

---"President Obama, what advice would you offer to American senior citizens, youths, and women, for instance, who would like to ride a subway train in New York City or Philadelphia, but who fear that if they do so, they will get mugged or robbed or stabbed or shot or kidnapped. Do you have any suggestions for how each of the various subway systems and light-rail transit systems in this country can be made as safe as possible for everyone, including for senior citizens and youths and women?"

---"President Obama, do you believe the U.S. Government should follow the example of European nations such as Germany, for instance, that have developed official national policies endorsing the use of cited herbal medicines as prescribed treatments for individuals' medical problems?"

---"President Obama, do you believe the U.S. Government should establish a special toll-free phone number, 1-800-NO-MAFIA, to which any and all persons around the world, including American citizens, could make phone calls to report evidence they had observed of alleged Mafia activities in the United States. Would a toll-free hotline phone number of that type, focused on deterring Mafia activities, help to break the grip of organized crime on our entire nation?"
