Subject: 4-28-20 campaign-strategy ideas for Mr. Biden re: mass transportation

April 28, 2020

Dear Mr. Biden,

One campaign strategy that could be very effective for you is if you publicly advocate the urgent need for additional intra-urban-area or intra-city or intra-town public bus transportation services in cities and towns, including suburbs, that do not currently offer that option.

For smaller towns and suburbs, you could recommend the option of a smaller-capacity bus---a minibus----with that bus also having the capacity to hold bicycles placed in a proper bicycle rack in front of that attached to that bus.

Another good strategy would be for you to cite the total percentage of all American cities and towns of today that DO NOT offer any municipal or county-run intra-city or intra-county or intra-urban-area bus service. That statistic would be shocking to many American voters, and would offer yet another indictment of the deplorably negligent record of President Trump on mass-transportation.

On a related note, the American Public Transportation Association reports that  "45% of Americans have no access to public transportation".

One intent of mass-transportation-related public-policy recommendations from you would be to help demonstrate that you want to make our entire nation as pedestrian-friendly and bicyclist-friendly and fuel-efficient-mass-transportation-friendly as possible, and to thereby significantly reduce total consumption of fossil fuels throughout the United States.
You could also make the point that regardless of whether voters agree with President Trump's absurd statements that there is no Global Warming Effect, in his opinion, conserving fossil fuels at present is very beneficial to protecting access to fossil fuels for future generations in the United States and throughout the entire world.

"If we over-consume fossil fuels during the current period, we ROB YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN OF ACCESS TO FOSSIL FUELS," You could very persuasively declare in a televised speech.

Mr. Biden, I hope that this campaign-strategy letter is also helpful to you.

Sincerely and Best Wishes,

John Kevin McMillan,
