Dear Mr. McMillan,

This email is in response to the correspondence you submitted to the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Office of the Ombudsman regarding the personal injury crimes.

Criminal matters of this nature should be reported to the Austin Police Department (APD). The HHSC has no jurisdiction over APD or its policies and procedures. The APD does have an online reporting system which allows you to report a criminal incident to the police department. You may access the reporting system by visiting their website at https://austintexas.gov/department/ireportaustincom. You may also call 3-1-1 for non‑emergencies or (512) 974-5750 if calling from outside of Austin. If this is an emergency, please call 9‑1‑1.

I hope this information is helpful.

If you have any questions or need additional information, you may contact our office at 1‑877‑787‑8999 or visit us online at www.hhsc.state.tx.us/ombudsman/contact.shtml.
