MORE QUOTABLE MOMENTS FROM IMAGINARY EVERYDAY CONVERSATIONS OF NEW YORKERS---A SEMI-FICTITIOUS EAVESDROPPER'S REPORT

---"It might be a mistake to assume that if I eat organic foods every day of the year, I will live to age 120. From what I understand, 110 is the most that any of us can hope to attain, regardless of whether we're eating organic foods that magically bless us with the best possible medical health and vitality."

---"I don't know of any recent studies which found that those who pursue primarily-organic-foods dietary lifestyles are twice as likely to reach age 110 than
New Yorkers who pursue non-organic foods diets."

---"If you live to age 120, that gives you an extra 10 years to finish writing your memoirs. So I recommend that you do something first, in order to have something to write about at age 110. Maybe if you jotted down what you believe your leading accomplishments have been so far, this might boost your morale as you prepare to begin writing your book at age 110."

---"I'm terrified by the prospect of suddenly becoming famous here. Look what happened to John Lennon here in New York. Famous New Yorkers are the first ones that would-be assassins seek to destroy. Maybe I should strive for being well-liked by my neighbors, in lieu of having citywide fame. This would help increase my chances of enjoying a full natural longevity."

---"I don't blame the British who hate New York for what we did to John Lennon. My only response is that I should not be included in that particular 'we' statement. I had no role of any type in the life of Lennon's assassin, and I don't even own a gun. Maybe I should add that every year on John Lennon's birthday, I attend an event in his honor. This might help to reassure the British when they accuse me of having been a conspirator in the assassination plot."

--"If I ever travel to England and visit the Beatles Museum there, when I sign the guest book I will refrain from citing New York City as the place I'm from. I don't want to trigger any additional hatred of New Yorkers. I think I might cite 'Melville, New York' as the place where I'm from. I don't believe that Melville was implicated in Lennon's assassination. So there's no risk of irking an Englishman if I sign the guest book that way. But I hate to lie---so this will be quite a stressful dilemma for me when I visit England."

---"Maybe I should visit the New York Public Library and listen to taped oral-history interviews with 110-year-old residents of this city. It would be interesting to find out what they have learned by age 110. This is one way I could prepare mentally for the inevitable day when I reach age 110 and am suddenly asked for words of wisdom to offer."

--"If you interview me at age 110, I plan to mention that I recommend flossing your teeth twice a day, rather than just once, and I believe that played a big role in my having reached age 110."

---"You are so obsessed with the Centenarian Scene here in New York that maybe you should write a book profiling the trendy lifestyles of New Yorkers who are 100 or older. When you interview your subjects, you might have to use a microphone in order to have your question heard. Otherwise, you could shout out each of your questions, in order to get an answer."

---"To me, the Centenarian Scene here would make for a wonderful Hollywood movie. Each of the characters could be age 100 or older, and the action scenes could all be done in slow motion."

--"Personally, I like the idea of a Hollywood movie exploring the various obstacles in everyday life that centenarians of New York are facing. If they want to apply for a job, for instance, the employer might be reluctant to hire anyone over 100."

---"Do you know any books on the New York Times bestseller list that were written by a 110-year-old author? This is still a fair bottom-line question to ask. Just how successful as an author do you think you'll be after you blow out 110 candles on your birthday cake?"

---"If you turn 100, at least it guarantees you a meeting with the President in the White House. I don't know of any American president who would decline to meet with a Centenarian citizen of this country. It's great PR for the White House if a Centenarian is photographed shaking hands with our chief of state."

---"I wonder whether Floridian senior citizens who play shuffleboard live longer than New York senior citizens who don't play shuffleboard. Maybe Florida has a competitive edge over New York in the way of athletic activities offered to that age group."

--"I find it hard to believe that shuffleboard playing is the reason why senior citizens in Florida live longer than senior citizens in New York. How could any medical specialist claim a significant cardiovascular benefit from playing shuffleboard?"

---"You remind me of another favorite activity of senior citizens. I have never heard of any medical study indicating that senior citizens burn calories when they swing back and forth on their proverbial rocking chair on the front porch of their home. Maybe there's a need for medical research identifying whether rocking chairs are good for the cardiovascular health of senior citizens."

---"I don't recommend sitting on a rocking chair in front of your home here in New York. It would be construed by members of the criminal element as an invitation for a senior-napping, accompanied by a demand for a ransom payment. I would call it a kidnapping, but at age 80 most people wouldn't be mistaken for kids. So that's why I call it a senior-napping, at that age."

--"If you get senior-napped while making use of a rocking chair on your front porch here in New York, that would completely wipe out any medical health benefit from rocking back and forth on that chair. It could even give you a heart attack if you get senior-napped at age 80."

---"I am hoping to write an Off-Broadway play that actually gets performed, which will help to energize me and rejuvenate me when I turn age 80. Then that rejuvenation will encourage me to turn that off-Broadway play into a script for a Hollywood movie. I would love to win an Oscar for the best screenplay and to give my acceptance speech at age 82. In my speech, I would urge anyone and everyone to look upon their retirement years as a golden period for screenplay writing. That might help to inspire the Octogenarian Crowd."

---"As a Centenarian, I am still recovering from the shock of having to memorize new names for eastern European countries. I used to enjoy referring to Yugoslavia back in the 1970s, I loved the sound of that name. But these days, I have to look it up every time when I want to refer to that portion of Europe."

---"As a 100-year-old, I always enjoy telling people that my great-grandchildren are just as dear to me as my grandchildren are. It's a great honor to have both great-grandchildren and grandchildren while I'm still alive. I plan to host a nice party honoring all of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I just have to come up with a party theme, though. Maybe my party theme could be favorite hobbies. I would start by talking about hiking indoors at my Manhattan athletic club and crossword puzzles. Then I'd invite each grandchild and great-grandchild to tell me about their own favorite hobbies. We could videotape the entire party, and add that videotape to our family-heritage collection."

--"I love the idea of a Centenarian Singers or Centenarian Choir recording that promote the joy of reaching age 100 here in New York. It would take a very skilled choir director to pull it off, but I'm confident that recording could be a best-seller here."

--"The biggest change in my lifestyle as a Centenarian is that after I've have begun paying someone to read me 'The New York Times' each day in my living room. My eyesight has been failing in recent months, so now I have to rely on my designated Times reader to offer me 'All the news That's fit to print' in oral form. I pay that young lady $15 an hour to sit across from me in my living room and read to me aloud at least 10 articles from each issue. She will read out the headlines of articles, and I will give her a 'yeah' or 'nay' on whether I want to hear the text of that particular news or feature story. I am always delighted by her pleasant reading style. It's obvious she had good training by a speech teacher during her prep school days. Her reading style lends additional elegance to a publication that I is already famous for elegance. Her visits bring the entire world into my living room. On days when she is not able to visit me and read Times articles to me aloud, I feel as if I'm stuck in a  very dark cave without any knowledge of the outside world. It feels very, very primitive on those days without the  Oral Times, as I call it, in my living room."

Subject: Fw: 1-2-19 urgent question for my duly-elected state lawmaker

January 11, 2019
Dear State Representative Gina Hinojosa,

As I patiently await your reply letter to me on this (see below), I need to also mention to you that in the cited February 2012 local telephone conversation I had with Austin-based businessman and KVUE TV Station staff member John Schlueter, he also stated to me: "No matter where you go in Austin, you (John Kevin McMillan of Austin) will always be getting raped (during your sleeping hours as you lie alone, asleep and unconscious, on your own bed)" (an exact or near-exact quote).

The question I've posed to you, and for which I expect a reply letter from you as soon as possible, is:
Do you plan to sponsor any bill before the Texas Legislature this session that addresses whether the Legislature in Austin should continue to permit flagrant and very excessive ongoing intrusions upon my own privacy rights as a longtime Austin resident and longtime resident of Texas?

Thank you in advance for your reply letter to me on all of this.

Sincerely and Best Wishes from a dependably civil and law-abiding and honest, psychologically healthy, permanently drinking-alcohol-free, lifelong-tobacco-free, gainfully employed, single-by-choice, longtime-celibate-by-choice (including on a continuous and uninterrupted basis ever since the day I moved to northwest Austin in August 2001), Anglo male constituent of yours in NW Austin,

Dear State Representative Gina Hinojosa of the Texas Legislature in Austin,

After reviewing the e-mail letter (below) that I wrote and sent to you on January 2, 2019, I would like to add one important point.

In the cited February 2012 local phone conversation I had with local civic leader and honorable businessman and KVUE TV station staff member John Schlueter of northwest Austin, he also volunteered to me that he is not aware of ANY person from the last several decades of Austin's history during which John Schlueter has himself resided in Austin, who has been subjected to violations of that individual's privacy rights as extensive and pervasive as I myself (John Kevin McMillan) have been subjected to over a multi-year period, John Schlueter stated.

Rep. Hinojosa, I would appreciate receiving a courtesy reply note from you in response to the public-policy question I posed to you below.

Best Wishes from a law-abiding, gainfully employed, single-by-choice, longtime-celibate-by-choice (including on a continuous and uninterrupted basis ever since the day I moved to NW Austin from the UT-Austin campus area in August 2001), permanently-drinking-alcohol-free, dependably civil and law-abiding and platonicly polite, Anglo adult male constituent of yours,
John Kevin McMillan.

Subject: 1-2-19 urgent question for my duly-elected state lawmaker

January 2, 2019

Dear State Representative Hinojosa in Austin, Texas,

In your capacity as the one total state representative in the Texas House of Representatives in Austin who directly represents me and provides me with constituent services, since I reside in your district, do you plan to sponsor any bill before the Texas Legislature this session that addresses whether the Legislature in Austin should continue to permit flagrant and very excessive ongoing intrusions upon my own privacy rights as a longtime Austin resident and longtime resident of Texas?

I am reminded of this question for you after recalling a local telephone conversation I had in February 2012 with a very influential civic leader in Austin, John Schlueter, a kindly married gentleman and KVUE Television
Station staff member residing in my neighborhood of northwest Austin.

In that phone conversation, John Schlueter kindly volunteered to me that he is not aware of ANY resident of Austin other than myself who has been subjected to ongoing violations of their own privacy rights and other legal rights in Austin that were as extensive and outrageous as I myself have been subjected to, Mr. Schlueter helpfully informed me. I have since been informed in writing by the Austin Police Department, through an Open Records reply letter to me that APD sent me, that their municipal law-enforcement agency has apparently chosen not to interview John Schlueter about any factual information he might be willing to share with APD that refers to any allegedly or possibly illegal violations of own privacy rights (such as during my sleeping hours, for instance, in which I myself ALWAYS lie alone and always sleep alone on my own bed in a partitioned section of the living room of my bolt-locked one-bedroom apartment unit) that have allegedly or possibly occurred in Austin during the period ever since 12:01 a.m. April 17, 2011, for instance.

As you know, Rep. Hinojosa, I am dependably civil and law-abiding and honest, law-enforcement-minded, gainfully employed, permanently drinking-alcohol-free and non-alcoholic, permanently marijuana-free on a continuous and uninterrupted basis ever since the late fall of 1984 and never-previously-addicted, lifelong-illicit-drug-free in regard to any and all illicit drugs other than marijuana, lifelong-tattoo-less, facially-cleanshaven (no beard, no mustache, no goatee, etc.), and clean-talking (no profanity or obscenities of my own ever verbalized by me in my everyday conversations with others). I might add that I myself do not have any criminal-conviction record, as I'm sure that you may already be aware.

I am also the founder of a new and non-Christian "Honor Society" religion, the anti-drinking-alcohol and anti-tobacco and anti-marijuana-minded, anti-facial-hair-minded, non-praying, implicitly-deistic "Progressive Prohibitionist Religion". I am the only approved member of that honorable religion, which opposes the infliction of anonymous communications on anyone against their wishes, opposes the infliction of verbalized death threats on anyone, opposes thought-control projects, opposes the infliction of fraudulent or knowingly dishonest communications on anyone against their wishes, opposes medically-injurious continuous noise pollution, opposes fraudulent or injurious medical services, opposes home-invasion crimes, and opposes harassment of anyone during his or her sleeping hours.

Thank you in advance, Rep. Hinojosa, for what I feel hopeful will be a very reassuring reply letter to me from yourself.

Sincerely and Best Wishes from a gainfully employed single-by-choice, longtime-celibate-by-choice, Anglo male constituent of yours in
Austin,

John Kevin McMillan.

A RECOMMENDED QUICK-READ FOR ANY AMERICAN WHO EITHER DOES NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT OUR NEIGHBOR TO THE NORTH, CANADA, OR WHO BELIEVES HE ALREADY KNOWS ALL HE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT CANADA:

I urge you to please visit the following website on the internet and explore Canada through a "fact slides" show that is very easy to study quickly during your leisuretime:

https://www.factslides.com/s-Canada

The webpage is entitled "Canada Facts: 52 Facts About Canada," with one of those facts being the following, and I quote verbatim from that website:

"There's a service called 'Cleaning for a Reason' in the U.S. and Canada that cleans the houses of women with cancer for free so they can focus on their health."

PRAISE FOR CANADA: IT IS REPORTEDLY THE WORLD'S MOST EDUCATED COUNTRY, WITH MORE THAN HALF OF ITS RESIDENTS HAVING OBTAINED A DEGREE IN HIGHER EDUCATION

"Canada is the World's Most Educated Country: over half its residents have college degrees"

This exactly quoted statement can be found at the website entitled "Canada Facts: 52 Facts about Canada".

The online address for that website is:
https://www.factslides.com/s-Canada

Time Magazine, an American weekly news publication, reported on September 27, 2012, that Canada is "the only nation in the world where more than half of its residents can proudly hang college degrees on their walls".

The Time Magazine article containing that factual statement was entitled, "And the World's Most Educated Country Is ....". That article was written by Time Magazine staff writer Samantha Grossman.

CITY OF AUSTIN OFFICIALS SPENCER CRONK AND JIMMY FLANNIGAN ON JANUARY 17, 2019, RECEIVE FROM ME A POLITELY-WORDED REQUEST FOR FACTUAL INFORMATION

Subject: 1-17-19 question for each of you City of Austin officials with ties to gay groups

January 17, 2019

Dear Austin City Manager Spencer Cronk and Austin City Council Member Jimmy Flannigan (and I need to politely explain to Mr. Flannigan that my repeated attempts through my internet system at updating and changing the cited name ID that is connected to your own correct official e-mail address have each failed; I will try again to make that name change later today),

I have read news-media accounts indicating that each of you City of Austin officials apparently have extensive ties to gay political groups, gay religious groups, gay civic groups, and gay media companies in Austin and elsewhere.

I would appreciate it if either of you very influential city officials would please let me know as soon as possible whether you know of any gay group or any gay-theme communications group that allegedly has been subjecting me to any alleged anonymous communications during my off-duty hours.

That factual information would be invaluable to me. It would give me the opportunity to press legal charges, whether through a lawsuit or through a law-enforcement agency, against any and all groups allegedly violating my own privacy rights in that reprehensible manner.

As you each may be aware, I am not a member of or affiliated with any gay group or any gay-theme communications group anywhere in the world. Nor is any such group authorized to subject me to any anonymous communications or any profanity or any obscene communications or any "medical" services or any "educational" services of any type.

As each of you may be aware, I am the founder and only current approved member of a new and non-Christian, non-Judaistic, non-Moslem, religious group, the Progressive Prohibitionist Religion (PPR). That one total religion of mine specifically opposes subjecting anyone to anonymous communications or thought-control projects against their own wishes in a context that violates their own privacy rights.

I would estimate that 99 percent of more of the persons most appropriate as prospective new members for my own anti-marijuana-minded, anti-drinking-alcohol-minded, anti-tobacco, anti-tattoos, anti-facial-hair-minded religion are, in fact, heterosexual or primarily heterosexual in sexual identity per se. My own religion, PPR, also questions the need for nearly all of the sex change operations currently occurring in the United States. My own religion, PPR, also opposes fraudulent communications and fraudulent "medical care" services. PPR also opposes deliberate and willful sadomasochistic physical torture or deliberate flagrant physical abuse of anyone during his sleeping hours or at any other time.

Thank you in advance for your helpful and informative reply letter in response to this request for information from either of you City of Austin officials.

Sincerely and Best Wishes,

John Kevin McMillan,
