UTAH REPORTEDLY TOPS LIST OF U.S. STATES WITH THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGES OF RESIDENTS WHO HAVE ENGLISH ANCESTRY

I learned today through online research that Utah is the U.S. state with the highest percentage of residents who are of English ancestry.

The other leading 11 states in that category, listed in descending order from highest to lowest, are: Maine, Vermont, Idaho, New Hampshire, Wyoming, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Colorado, Rhode Island, and Washington, respectively.
Of those 12 states, the only states with approximately 3 million or more residents are Utah, Oregon, Colorado, and Washington State.
This factual information is provided in a very helpful currently-copyrighted 2014 blog written and posted by Laurence Brown. The blog is entitled, "12 U.S. States With the Highest Concentration of English Ancestry." Mr. Brown is a native of Great Britain currently residing in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also a current contributor to BBC America. "BBC" is the London-based British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
