Please note two minor corrections, highlighted by larger-type-size italics immediately below, in the second paragraph of my letter to APD this Thursday night that I had carbon-copied to most of you (and I have also at this time made those two minor corrections to the second paragraph in the text of the original letter, farther below):
"My request had sought factual evidence from you in regard to whether any certified peace officer employed in or or residing in Travis County, Texas, had in a written or telephone communication with APD either stated opposition to, or stated that he or she did not see the need for, full 190-day retroactive processing by APD on one or more of the DNA-trace-swabs in the two total rape-evidence kits obtained from my own body by a forensic nurse --- in April 2011 and December 2011, respectively --- that are currently being stored for the APD Sex Crimes Unit."...

Subject: 11-1-20 safe-housing-related question for Austin Apartment Association
Mr. McMillan – Our agency has no jurisdiction over your property. If you are concerned about your safety while sleeping, or about people coming into your apartment, we encourage you to be in touch with the Austin Police Department or Austin-Travis County Integral Health, both of which may have resources to assist. This will be the final communication from our agency. Thank you.

I am sorry to hear about your situation. As Mr. Gerber was saying, the Austin Tenant's Council and Rio Grande Legal Aid are excellent resources available free of charge, so I would recommend contacting them for representation.
Our agency does not offer immediate or emergency housing; however, we do have several waiting lists that are currently open and you can apply by going to www.hacaapply.org. I have also attached a list of community resources for you, and the Tenant's Council resource listing for additional housing options in the area.
I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.
Thank you -

John - who do you think did what to you? What’s in the videos, in a nutshell? With law enforcement involved, these sound like intentional acts that wouldn’t be covered by insurance. If you believe the apartment is at fault — the. How so?
Unfortunately, it sounds like we will be unable to help.
I do wish you luck because if there is anything to this the criminals should be punished.
Best of luck and thanks for contacting us.

Hi John,
My name is Bryna, and I work as an advocate at Eloise House. I work with Katie and Kim who you saw on April 18. I hope this email finds you doing well in your healing process. I am writing to check in to see how you are doing. Are you feeling safe? Are there any resources, such as counseling or assistance with the criminal justice process, that we can provide?
Please check out this free online book called “The Courage to Be Me” by Dr. Nina Burrowes. It’s about healing, it’s short and you can read all of it here.
I am happy to help in whatever way needed. You can also contact our Sexual Assault Victim Advocacy Office Mon-Fri 9:30am-5:30pm at (512) 356-1560....
You are welcome to reply to this email with any questions you might have. I’ll also try calling in the next few days in case that’s easier.
Warmly,
Bryna Dye
Greetings John,
I hope this finds you well and dry. I received a message from our front desk here at St Matthew’s that you asked for a priest’s email, so here I am. There was also some mention of a home invasion, which is distressing. I hope you’ve contacted the police regarding this incident, but please feel free to contact me for further discussion of this event.
My peace and prayers are with you,
Fr Christian Hawley
Sir,
Please see the attached documents.
Sincerely,

2) Seriously, John, if this was happening to me, I would just get the hell out of there. You might recall when we spoke on the phone a few months back, that was my - perhaps unsolicited advice – but my advice all the same. There must be better options somewhere, right?
So thanks. I think back fondly at my time at COACT, and the truth is, you were one of the first friends I made in this town. But it’s time for me to open up this next big chapter of my life, so I am asking you to take me off this list please, okay, John?
Thanks. Sincerely,
Matt

Subject: 9-7-12 request for affidavit from you
Dear Officer Turner, Alma, an assistant in the medical clinic of my new primary-care physician, Dr. Edie Shulman, helpfully and politely advised me in person today that I will need to myself sign a formal affidavit provided to me by the Austin Police Department, if I wish to formally and officially authorize Dr. Shulman and her staff to share any and all medical records and any other records about me with your municipal law-enforcement agency in Austin. As a law-abiding and civil and honest and gainfully-employed single adult male criminal-law complainant, I definitely wish to formally authorize your law-enforcement agency to obtain any and all records that you might ever wish to obtain that relate to myself in any way. I wish to offer that authorization to APD because I am very sure that the resulting information about medical injuriousness to myself during my sleep in the period ever since mid-April 2011, in particular, will be invaluable to the Austin Police Department. That factual information will help your law-enforcement agency to formally press criminal-law charges against an alleged criminal person who has allegedly illegally entered my bolt-locked apartment unit and allegedly illegally subjected me to alleged medical injury and alleged personal injury of myself and alleged molestation of my own body, and alleged frequent disruption and frequent interruption of my sleep, during periods in which I am sleeping alone on my bed. During those periods in which I am sleeping on my bed, I am also unconscious, probably snoring as well, and lying alone, as always, on my orthopedic bed inside my bolt-locked apartment unit at Wind River Crossing.... We can never ensure anyone’s safety as it is against policy to do so. What I stated was that we have done everything that Texas apartment laws require in your lease contract as far as the number of locks on your door and the locks installed on your sliding patio door. I will mention your request about Josh to Ann, our manager. Until then, if you have any other questions, please let me know. Thank you, and I hope you have a great day, John! Dear John,
I am again impressed at how expensive and unsafe your apartment might be…and how little I can do to help your problem, except suggest that perhaps you investigate possible other causes of the pain, especially anal cancer. If I remember correctly Farrah Fawcett died of anal cancer. It is not a pleasant disease and of course very painful. What amazes me is that you seem to be such a sound sleeper, yet always wake up with pain.
There must be cheaper and safer apartments in Austin???
Even I can see that you have substantial problems….and not only at the end of every month…way beyond my meager capacity to help you…though now there is substantial uncertainty in my mind exactly what they are..and how to solve them…I am amazed at how much money rich people make off of poor people who cannot balance their budgets and wind up paying exorbitant late fees…translating into humongous interest rates….I guess eventually poor people learn to budget…
I wish you “Good Luck”…
Mike
