As a religious lifelong-non-Christian gentleman, I find it useful to look upon other religions' cited holidays as an opportunity for inspiration in the context of my own beliefs.
When I hear the term "Good Friday" today, I look upon this as a reminder to pursue philanthropy and "do good" on this planet today.
This is how I as a non-Christian deistic religionist can make practical use of other religious groups' well-publicized holidays as a source of inspiration.
"Make This Friday not mediocre, but GOOD!" That is the message I take from the Catholic religion today.
