Are you not from Austin? APD has always been tolerant on pot, and pot only.
Fred Akers and Willie Nelson best friends. Getting a clue yet? UT and arts community ran Austin up until Tech arrived. And Tech likes pot too.
So you should probably learn about ACTUAL FACTS OF CONSTITUENTS, what their democratic voices decide and prefer.
Pot will become legal like Colorado the moment Abbott, Patrick and other tea bagger fags gone.
Meanwhile, Cops and justice system not going all-out to fill dockets with marijuana 'crimes' that most just tossed out. Tickets and fines best meanwhile.
Are you 80, obsolete, and from parts elsewhere? Know the city or just shut up already. Back in the 80's, cops would if anything, say go smoke that joint elsewhere if it was at a park. Everyone knew driving and toking was bad, so it wasn't done much.
Cops --- then AND now --- know what you don't know apparently:
People are very nice and easy to manage when high on pot. Its alcohol and crack and bath salts etc that keep them on their toes with angry criminals.
Guess you don't know any cops, huh? Every street cop wishes everyone was high versus other substances. Or fully sober but with angry racist Trump peabrain issues.
But pot is a cop's friend. They learn that pretty fast unless they arrive brainwashed and dumb. Which a few do and are, but not many. And other cops ditch them socially.
Pot might even do you some good. Try it, then judge.
Otherwise, stay dumb. Your choice. And very very dumb.
Doubt any hope for you, but pot has helped many racists not be. Never say never.

Which Austin City Council member is "soft" on illicit drugs? (Austin)
In view of the alarmingly widespread nature of the marijuana-addiction and illicit-drug-addiction crisis in the Austin, Texas, of today, inevitably three public-policy questions are raised that demand a full investigation by a reputable law-enforcement agency such as the Texas Rangers Division of the Texas Department of Public Safety here in Austin.
--Which CURRENT members of the Austin City Council, if any, do you believe to allegedly be "soft," or permissive, toward illicit drug activities in Austin?
---Which CURRENT member or members of the Austin City Council, if any, do you have reason to believe are allegedly current or former illicit drug addicts?
---Which CURRENT member or members of the Austin City Council, if any, have ANY mutual-consent personal-friends or relatives or associates who are themselves allegedly illicit drug dealers?
