NUMEROUS 'CONFIDENTIAL CONSULTATIONS' IN THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF ABOUT JOHN KEVIN McMILLAN OF AUSTIN REPORTEDLY OCCURRED AMONG ATTORNEYS AND LEGAL STAFF MEMBERS WITHIN THE CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE IN AUSTIN, THE CAPITAL CITY OF TEXAS---DESPITE THE COMPLETE ABSENCE OF ANY AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL MEETING IN MORE THAN 15 YEARS THAT EVER ONCE REFERRED TO AUSTIN RESIDENT JOHN KEVIN McMILLAN OR THAT EVER ONCE CITED HIM BY NAME IN AN AGENDA ITEM FOR THAT COUNCIL MEETING

--May 20, 2016:
Assistant City Attorney Elaine Nicholson, in a May 20, 2016, signed legal letter to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, requests official permission from his state agency in Austin to withhold from public-information requestor John Kevin McMillan and the local news media several or more legal documents comprising "confidential communications between and amongst the Law Department (that each specifically refer to John Kevin McMillan of Austin, and that each occurred during the time period from Feb. 16, 2016, through 8 a.m. May 10, 2016.)."

The cited E-mail public information request from Mr. McMillan was officially received by the City Government of Austin on May 10, 2016, after Mr. McMillan E-mailed that request to the City on the night of May 9, 2016.

SEPTEMBER 8, 2015:
Assistant City Attorney Elaine Nicholson, in a signed three-page September 8, 2015-dated legal letter to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, requests official written permission to withhold from public-information requestor John Kevin McMillan "confidential communications within the Law Department (that each specifically refer to John Kevin McMillan of Austin and that each occurred during the time period from June 10, 2015, through 8 a.m. August 24, 2015)."

The cited E-mail public-information request from Mr. McMillan was officially received by the City of Austin on Monday, August 24, 2015, after Mr. McMillan E-mailed that written request to the City on Sunday, August 23, 2015.
