Subject: Correction Re: Physical Therapy Questions for Gov. Cox
Dear Utah Governor Spencer Cox,
Please disregard the earlier version of this letter addressed to you that I had written and e-mailed to you early this morning as I prepared to leave my apartment unit and travel to my first-rate new workplace.
Below is a revised, expanded, and improved version of that letter of mine from this morning.
I hope to hear from you soon, Governor Cox.
Sincerely and Best Wishes,
John Kevin McMillan of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dear Utah Governor Spencer Cox,
Do you believe that the statements in this 2005-dated online report (see link above and quoted text from that link in paragraph directly below) from the U.S. Government Centers for Disease Control about the three leading causes of disabilities nationwide are currently applicable for Utah and Utahns?
"The three most common causes of disability continued to be arthritis or rheumatism (affecting an estimated 8.6 million persons), back or spine problems (7.6 million), and heart trouble (3.0 million). Women (24.4%) had a significantly higher prevalence of disability compared with men (19.1%) at all ages. For both sexes, the prevalence of disability doubled in successive age groups (18--44 years, 11.0%; 45--64 years, 23.9%; and ≥65 years, 51.8%). The number of adults reporting a disability likely will increase, along with the need for appropriate medical and public health services, as more persons enter the highest risk age group (≥65 years). To accommodate the expected increase in demand for disability-related medical and public health services, expanding the reach of effective strategies and interventions aimed at preventing progression to disability and improving disability management in the population is necessary."
If your answer to the above question from me is "yes", do you support increased State Government of Utah funding for expansion of the scope of programs and services that are provided by State of Utah-licensed Physical Therapists in each and every county, including rural counties, of our great state of Utah?
Governor Cox, do you also support the establishment of a generously-funded and new "Utah Physical Therapy Innovations Center", if needed, that pioneers in the pursuit of new types of research and public promotional projects?
I am referring to an institute that helps Utah and Utahns achieve a nationwide leadership role as exponents and proponents of a wide variety of ingeniously healthful and honorably law-abiding Physical Therapy services. Among those "lifesaver" services might be revitalizing physical therapy for Utahn pedestrians of all ages who are injured from falling while walking outdoors on a slippery or cracked public sidewalk in our state.
I was reminded of the possible need for a proposed new "Utah Physical Therapy Innovations Center" when I read online this month that physical therapy services can help a person achieve full freedom from his or her addiction to opioids, illicit drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or vaping products, for instance.
Those innovative new or improved Physical Therapy services here in Utah can help:
---- Prevent the onset of a wide variety of disabilities that Utahns might have otherwise sustained; and
---- Achieve frequent permanent reversals in Utah of damage to Utahns' own bodies or neurological health or medical health or emotional health resulting from one or more disabilities or, if applicable, related drug or alcohol or tobacco or vaping or tattoo or
or junk-food addictions of theirs or, if applicable, criminal physical assault-inflicted trauma or criminal sexual assault-inflicted trauma or physical abuse-inflicted trauma or home-invasion assault-inflicted trauma, continuous verbal harassment-inflicted trauma, inter-racial harassment-inflicted trauma, stalking-inflicted trauma, obscene-speech-inflicted trauma, or continuous noise pollution-inflicted trauma and accompanying hearing problems and psychological problems those Utahns had sustained or previously been subjected to here in the Beehive State or elsewhere in the USA.
---Teach pregnant mothers or teenage girls anywhere and everywhere in Utah to PLEASE take pride in their own----and their expected new baby's and their boyfriend's or husband's--- bodies and medical health and life, by themselves refraining from ever consuming any alcohol, any illicit or harmful drug, any tobacco, any vaping product, or an excessive amount of junk food at any time during each such Utahn woman's or Utahn girl's pregnancy or at any time during their breast-feeding of a baby.
Thank you in advance, Governor Cox, for your very helpful and much-appreciated first-ever signed reply letter to me at any time since I became a permanent resident of Utah on January 1, 2022.
Sincerely and Best Wishes,
