When I search for an apartment unit in Salt Lake City, Utah, I will definitely want to ask the landlord or apartment manager whether construction of that building meets earthquake-safety standards as cited by the group of Utah geologists who sponsored the following copyrighted factual online blog (see link, farther below).
Observations for a rationally religious and implicitly deistic modern religion, public-policy writing, creative brainstorming and sociological writing from an environmental-protection-minded and crime-deterrence-minded, law-enforcement-minded, alcohol-free, lifelong non-Christian, conservative left-wing single adult gentleman who is also a direct descendant of Rev. William Brewster--Head Chaplain on Mayflower, religious leader at Plymouth, and adviser there to Governor William Bradford.

A POTENTIALLY LIFE-SAVING EARTHQUAKE-RELATED SAFETY TIP FROM GEOLOGISTS IN UTAH:
One key observation from that blog:
"Quality of construction of the building a person is occupying is the single biggest factor that will determine whether that person is injured or killed in an earthquake. Engineering studies and data from past earthquakes show that most earthquake-related deaths and serious injuries occur in unreinforced masonry buildings (URMs). URMs are buildings constructed with stone-like materials (brick, stone, cinder block, etc.) that were not built with enough steel or wood reinforcement to prevent life-threatening damage or collapse during an earthquake...."
