I have asked a first-rate manager at the H.E.B.-chain store at Rundberg Lane and North Lamar Boulevard to please offer a fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt at their location, and I am hopeful that their store will in the near future. When I most recently checked earlier this month, that H.E.B. location did not have any fat-free frozen yogurt option.
At present, the only supermarket near me I know of where I am able to find a fat-free frozen yogurt is the H.E.B.-chain store near Braker Lane and Research Boulevard in northwest Austin.
The Kemps "Smooth and Creamy" Fat-Free Vanilla Frozen Yogurt at the H.E.B. Braker Lane store contains:
---0 grams of cholesterol per two-thirds-cup serving;
---only 70 mg of sodium per serving;
---18 grams of sugar per serving, 13 grams of which are added sugars;
---3 grams of protein per serving;
---170 mg of potassium per serving;
---130 mg of calcium per serving.
Another advantage to this Kemps-brand fat-free frozen yogurt product is that specific live and active yogurt cultures are cited in the ingredients list. Among the live and active cultures in this product are "L. Acidophilus" and "Bifidobacterium", the Kemps ingredients label directly states. Some of the other frozen-yogurt products from other companies do not specifically state that the product contains live and active yogurt cultures, or which specific cultures can be found in that brand of frozen yogurt.
One disadvantage to this particular Kemps product: it contains some artificial flavorings. However, it also contains natural flavorings, which I appreciate. Kemps is the registered-trademark name for Kemps LLC, St. Paul, Minnesota, 55108. Information obtained for this blog comes from a product ingredients label on the product container that bears a copyright date of 2019.
