John – the conservative legislature and judiciary has made cases of this nature almost impossible to prosecute – you would have to know who the perpetrator is to even begin – I don’t know an atty who handles these matter any more – you might try travis county lawyer referral service on the outside chance they could make a recommendation – sorry for all your troubles --louis

I appreciate that you have talked with and been examined by your primary care physician. That makes me feel better that your health care provider is aware of what is going on. It is entirely possible that my opinion is wrong and that you have in fact been sexually assaulted. If that is the case I hope that APD gets the DNA results processed soon so that you can get some resolution.
Be assured that I have no worries that someone might ridicule or harass me for showing confidence in you. I like to treat all people with respect and if others have a problem with that so be it. As I said before I think you are a good and sincere person and I am sorry that you are having to deal with what you are going through.
My wish for you is that this will stop being an issue and you will be able to live without the stress you have been dealing with since 2011.

John,
I'm not sure that I know anyone who can assist you in getting APD to move forward with testing your rape-evidence kit. The only attorneys I know are defense attorneys. I don't think a defense attorney would be able to handle that type of case as their bailiwick is defending someone accused of a crime.
Another thought I have about your situation is that I've read in the paper the lab that does the DNA testing is woefully behind and has a backlog of work. My guess is that APD prioritizes which specimens to test based on what they deem to be a priority. I know that your case is a priority for you and that is understandable, but APD may not see it that way. Have you asked if you can meet with someone from Victim Services at APD? Perhaps a Victim Services counselor would be able to assist you in finding out if APD plans to move forward with your case. I don't want to be too pessimistic but if the crime occurred almost 3 years ago and APD has not moved forward I would take that as an indication that they are not pursuing your case very vigorously.
I can understand that this whole situation is very distressing for you. I'm sorry you have had to go through this. I hope you can try to put it behind you.
Be well,
Sona

John,
Since you can't identify the possible perpetrator/s I think it would be fruitless to file a complaint with the medical board. If it is not one of your medical providers you certainly don't want to inflict a cloud of suspicion around them. However if you had a specific and solid memory of someone violating your body then a complaint would make sense. ...

There must be cheaper and safer apartments in Austin???

Dear John,
We are a medical research facility,
not a crime scene lab. I am amazed
at your fascination with 10-20 hair
follicles, as without a microscopic examination the “follicles” are difficult to identify.
DNA analysis is also extremely costly
and often requires a “match” of some
sort to be meaningful , as there is
a lot of DNA associated with
microflora associated with the
specific environment.. I am also
amazed that you have in detective
terms a “locked door” type mystery
and that you never wake up except
after the fact. Almost everyone
realizes that what you are
proposing is a felony, a very serious crime, which if you are right is only feasible due to your extremely deep sleep…which on the surface would
seem unusual, especially for repeated crimes..Then of course there is the question of motive, which although
I do not doubt that you may have many enemies, this particular response seems very extreme.
I also appreciate that I am 2000 miles away and do not really know you that well; maybe I am just impressed that you consistently keep finding new problems to define your life and times, instead of seeking a less problematic lifestyle.
I have no basis to determine the
accuracy of your claims, but of
course would wonder about your continual habituation with more
and more new problems of all
sorts, together with all your
historical problems…Instead of
a life defined by the simple Joy of everyday living, you consistently
define your life by the daily problems you face…
I also realize that I cannot help you with the increasing density of problems, especially since there seems to be
no upper limit on your capacity to
find new problems…I can only hope
that all your problems do not become
my problems, as I am constantly
trying to minimize these, partly for
health reasons, but also as a
“way of life”

Dear John,
I appreciate your (e-mail) message, as I must admit I have to search your blod for your progress..I of course always hope for an "evolution" of sorts , as time is never constant..I understand "victimization" as that seems to be more and more popular, but I wonder if it is the optimal way to live?? given that life is relatively short, and each new day is the beginning of all future days.
I am not really an expert , of course, as I am never as young as I used to be...and each day must consider...the beginning of all future days..
but
my best wishes,
your hypothetical biological brother Mike, and of course your brother,

i appreciate historically your vision of reality fictionvictim so to speak, but i might suggest there is another genre of reality fiction which is very popular, which falls under the reality fiction self help category where the victim realizes that through greater consciousness he can rise above his victimhood, and through grander self realization find within himself the elements for his redemption.. this also makes great movies and sells well....

MY ADVERSION TO LAWYERS IS GREATER THAN THE THEIR EXTREMELY EXORABATANT COSTS. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THEY EVER SOLVE ANYTHING, BUT INSTEAD PLAY UPON THE DELUSIONS OF THEIR CLIENTS. YOUR BELIEF IN “LEGAL RELIEF” FOR PROBLEMS TO ME IS A SIGN OF MUCH DEEPER PROBLEMS, WAY BEYOND MY MEAGER CAPACITY TO ASSIST YOU IN.

Dear John,
Maybe I should remind you that I will never pay money to lawyers “gift” or donate money to be paid to lawyers…if I can at all avoid it. I believe it is delusional to think that lawyers will actually solve problems…or that one can get “justice” through the legal system…I try to avoid lawyers as much as I can, and I am sorry that you feel compelled to associate with one. This is another indication that your problems are far worse than I have capacity to help you with.
GOOD LUCK,

Sorry I am late getting back to you….
I realized with your last communication that your problems were way beyond any meager capacity I have to help you…I cannot comment on the veracity of your claims, except that you seem to be an extremely sound sleeper, and of course the problem with the locked doors..Either way, I do see that you (may ) have very serious problem(s)
It is strange in that I often have dreams where I am back in Texas and am surprised that both Mom and Dad recovered from their illness…It is so great to be able to talk to Mother again…and of course Dad..In these dreams, I always am trying to get a flight out of Texas, back to California, but can never quite dial the phone right to make a reservation…or else thinking about the roads to New Mexico, and what would be the fastest way out of Texas…Anyway, I always wake up and want to call Mother to say Hi…and tell her not to worry about me…
I also realize that documentation for a private attorney is a very costly sort of thing,
Good Luck,

Dear John,
Thanks for reminding me how complicated your life is and how difficult it is to get any perspective on them, as they always seem to have endless complications, which can only leave me wondering stupidly.
Overall, during the course of our conversations, it has impressed me at how much difficulty there is monthly associated with living in your current apartment, and how many difficulties there are involved with you sharing housing with other human entities, whether they be “indonesian” or elderly” Jewish people”, assuming that you are not being selective or “fiction-like” in your narrations, representing the same to me.
Most importantly, I do not see any “exit strategy”…or a roadmap towards some sort of resolution…or a lessening of the seemingly endless complications resulting in ever more problems.
I noticed that long ago you mentioned “living well is the best revenge”…but somehow seemed to have forgotten how to live well,
I hope that sometime you remember, sooner is better,
Mike

Dear John,
I am not quite sure what to say, in that historical reminiscences do not seem to be the problem, as I see it. I get the impression that you are “running quite hard just to stay in place” so to speak, and no matter how hard you run, you always wind up at the same place every month.
I am surprised at how much your water bill is, as here in Los Angeles...no one who rents pays for water, trash, etc.
...it is difficult for me to figure out when there is a real emergency…not that I could really “help” you ..as there is always this question of running hard just to stay in place , and its monthly implications..
It is curious in that we have been corresponding for some time now, and I appreciate the problems of “roommates”..and I see how your problems do not simplify…but seem to multiply in a variety of unexpected ways…but also how much your problems are central to your life…they define you…so to speak ..
I could be wrong,

There is a puzzle, maybe associated with Buddism, of a man trapped on a ledge; he can not go back as there is a huge hungry tiger…waiting to attack, nor can he go further down, for there is another tiger also hungry , waiting. He is thirsty and hungry and cannot sleep properly on the ledge..What should he do?
The answer of course is why did he place himself in such a predicament, when overall there are zillions of wonderful things to do in life..

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between 2 "wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

John,
Addicts are defined by their behavior…They tend not to tell the truth, especially if they need a “fix”, which if nothing else for you seems to be money..They play upon the sympathies of family members, repeatedly…in order to get their “fix”…There are lots of addicts in the world.
... I have more serious problems to think about, rather than this monthly end of month dilemma ..

i amnot sure what to think...on the one hand it is positive that you are not complaining about roomates and locked door mysteries...however
it scare me how litle you know about me...as it has been a long time since we actually knew each other...i guess it follows that i know very little about you...
except that it always seemed to me that you were defined by the grand problem things in your life...oh well...
i hope you enjoy the fall in austin, you are lucky that many lists place austin in the top five cities to live in..

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Dear John,
I always get depressed when I consider your requests, as in the end, I can not really help you....
As to your HUD “law suit”. I would not hold your breath. Government today is not quite what you might like tobelieve.
Good Luck, but as I mentioned I cannot “finance” your delusions.
I also assure you that when you finally get access to the cumulative lifelong financial wealth (that your oldest brother Kent stated to you in 1994 is in a savings account at a bank that Kent chose not to offer you additional information about), NEITHER I OR MY WIFE WANT ANYTHING FROM YOU; YOU DESERVE IT, AND YOU SHOULD NOT WASTE MONEY ON RELATIVES, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ASK EVERY END OF THE MONTH.
I appreciate that I have difficulty envisioning all your multitude of problems, and their ramifications, especially since it has been so long since I knew you as a biological brother…However, my general philosophy of life is to reduce the number of problems I face, rather than watch them compound daily into a larger set of problems.
I cannot really help you; only you can help you..
Happy holidays,
Mike

Dear John,
I find your communications rather curious and cannot decipher their “meaning”. You always have interesting and different Problems with a capital P. I also realized
at some point they were too complicated for me to effectively remediate in any way, as they involved multiple elements beyond my limited capacity of comprehension. I also realize that any effort I spend trying to decipher an essentially insolvable enigma, only depress me with the realization of my own limited capacity to “change the world”, much less help someone in need. I have a great difficulty sorting out your“perspectives”, except that all of them seem to end badly in your case, guaranteeing the life blood of the endless perpetual problems which characterize and define your life.
I just do not know what to make of it.

Dear John,
I have long since stopped worrying about relative truth or falsehoods; Absolute truth is almost always in some way an artifact of your belief in it, as most things in life are shades of grey. I also have no means of accessing your situation, and hence have a difficult time..impossible..for me to know whether you really have an emergency...
...I am also hesitant to get involved with your legal problems, in that I have lost confidence in our legal system to actually solve problems....

Dear John,
It has been many years since I "knew" you, and hence I have just been following your life through your narration/representation of it to me in these short communications, most of which also seem to include pleas for donations, which may or may not influence your narrative style..
I have long ago sensed certain themes in your narrations, which all seem to fall in the soap opera genre..Problems are never resolved, but only morph into slightly different problems, overall drive the narration and contribute to the "episodic" nature of your life..()stay tuned..same time same place next month, so to speak)
I sense you are very involved with your life story, I just wish you could find some more upbeat plot devices...maybe even some humor...as after all , it is

I am also curious what type of plot twists you plan for your life say 20 years from now as you correctly recognize the "happily ever after" as a fictional device. I suspect that you also realize the past is history, the future is "maybe", but you always live in the present,

Dear John,
Dear John,
You seem very fixated on this soap opera theme in your life’s story; I generally do not watch soap operas, as they always create false drama…and confusing plot twists..that makes it hard for the viewer to judge.
I just wish you a “live happily ever after” ending,
