I obtained this factual information through online database searches I pursued during my leisuretime this Monday, July 10, 2017, on behalf of my one-member (myself, only) and non-Christian Progressive Prohibitionist Religion inside a Northwest Austin branch library of the Austin Public Library in Austin, Texas.
An abstract from an article in the October 2013 issue of "Cancer Causes & Control", a Dutch medical journal, cites a recent 40-year study of Swedish men which found that during the period from 1969 until 2009, Swedish men who consumed marijuana on more than 50 total occasions were twice as likely to contract lung cancer than the other Swedish men studied.
The study's findings reflected "statistical adjustment for baseline tobacco use, alcohol use, respiratory conditions, and socioeconomic status", the "Cancer Causes & Control" report stated.
The "Cancer Causes & Control" October 2013 report on the Swedish medical study was entitled "Marijuana use and risk of lung cancer: a 40-year cohort study".
