'PROGRESSIVE PROHIBITIONIST RELIGION'-INSPIRED PUBLIC-POLICY IDEAS FOR THE VERY NEXT U.S. PRESIDENT IN WASHINGTON, D.C., WITH DONALD TRUMP BEING THE INDIVIDUAL REPORTEDLY EXPECTED TO ASSUME THAT OFFICE IN JANUARY 2017

(1) The new President of the United States could appoint an advisory commission to study ways in which the federal government could develop new computer programs that help federal officials to decide which public-policy actions to pursue on many of the issues that arise for the government. This computer-generated assistance could be especially helpful on very complicated public-policy issues with long-term implications for the federal government and American society.

(1a) The federal government under the new President's leadership could offer financial incentives to computer-industry companies in the United States to develop computer programs that could be used exclusively by the government to find answers or solutions to difficult public-policy questions and challenges. This could help to encourage a more rational approach to governance that minimizes the amount of conflict between and among political parties in regard to public-policy issues that are especially complex in nature.

(2) The federal government under the new President's leadership could pursue dialogues with the Soviet Union and mainland China and the European Union and the British Commonwealth about what the long-term goals of each of those nations or political entities are, and how the long-term goals of the United States compare with those nations or entities' long-term goals. The long-term goals dialogues might help to prevent military conflicts or other conflicts among nations throughout the 21st Century. This could occur by encouraging nations and other political entities with incompatible long-term goals to explore how their own long-term goals could be achieved WITHOUT their being in significant "disharmony" or conflict with the other participants.

(3) The new President could encourage the establishment by billionaires in the United States of an independently financed non-profit foundation in the United States that offers generous financial rewards to companies and corporations in the United States, if that is legally possible, and to municipal governments and county governments and state governments of the United States, that reported the largest percentage increases in recycling of paper and plastic items and glass items and other recyclable trash items during the most recent one-year or two-year period or multi-month period.

(4) The new President could possibly appoint a 'Commissioner of Public-Policy Brainstorming' who helps to promote and invite public-policy brainstorming by as many Americans as possible on behalf of making the federal government and state and local governments in the United States as effective and helpful as possible to the citizenry of the United States. This proposed new position of leadership in the federal government would encourage greater idealism and greater effectiveness by the federal government and American society.

(5) The new President could raise the question of whether individuals convicted of a felony crime involving their membership in an illicit youth gang could be confined to a special prison facility in the United States that exclusively addresses illicit-youth-gang-related issues and how to deter any such conduct by those convicts in the future after their release from that prison. The intent would be to help lawfully and in a constructive manner "deprogram" illicit-youth gang members through a wide range of counseling services and other treatment services inside that specially designed facility exclusively serving persons who were convicted of an illicit-youth-gang-related offense in which they had been clearly identified as having knowingly been a member of an illicit youth gang in the United States.

(6) The new President could encourage federally sponsored studies or a Presidential advisory commission study on whether the Global Warming Effect is expected to trigger a long-term redistribution of the American population from the so-called "Sunbelt States" to northern states where the effects of the Global Warming Effect might presumably be less severe than in the South. Studies of that type could also address what the long-term public-policy implications for the federal, state, and local governments are expected to be from that long-term trend of Americans moving northward to avoid the most severe outcomes from a Global Warming Effect.

(7) The new President could insist on an investigation by the federal government of whether the profession of "psychiatry" in the United States has been significantly abused in U.S. states such as Texas and Massachusetts and Minnesota and New York, in particular, and has been wrongfully used by those states and other U.S. states as a means of punishing or persecuting individuals whose political and religious beliefs and and personal beliefs and accompanying law-abiding conduct offend various special-interest groups and psychiatrists reflecting those special-interest groups' "beliefs" in those U.S. states. One goal behind this type of investigation would be to help promote a long-term reduction in the number of persons employed as "psychiatrists" in the United States, and to help identify which of the current "psychiatrists" should, in fact, face criminal-prosecution in a court of law or other lawfully-administered penalties, such as loss of certification to practice psychiatry, resulting from their having significantly wronged cited American citizens. The current abuse of psychiatry as a means of legitimizing sex-change operations that are ill-advised could also be included in the scope of an investigation into alleged flagrant abuse of "psychiatry" in the United States at present.
