One respectful public-policy question that I would like to pose to you today:

Is there any context in which you or any other employee or official of your Travis County Auditor's Office have the legal authority to investigate one or more possible alleged violations of the state penal code or possible alleged violations of civil-rights laws by one or more employees or officials of a Travis County Government agency or office, or by one or more employees or officials of a governmental agency (Health and Human Services, for instance) that is apparently jointly administered by Travis County Government and the City Government of Austin?
