Need for "Best Lyrics of the Year" Awards in Austin

Whenever anyone asks me to cite the Austin-based musician whose songs appeal to me the most, I am invariably stumped by the question.

When I then ask other Austinites to please cite to me locally-written songs that they admire the most, those Austinites also indicate that they are stumped by that question.

This indicates to me the great and urgent need for a "Best Song Lyrics of the Year Award" and accompanying $20,000 cash prize to the song-writer residing in Travis County, Texas, whose song lyrics for one or more songs were judged to be the very finest song lyrics written by a Travis County resident that have been performed professionally anywhere in the world in the most recent calendar year.
