"I have received the documents you recently sent me. I replaced Bill Aleshire as Travis County Judge on the Commissioners Court on December 1, 1998. Neither Judge Aleshire nor I have judicial duties. He was, and I am, in charge of various administrative duties, such as county budget and programs and services (roads, parks, health care, county buildings, etc).
